I'm in Alabama and can sit down on FT but not on Stars. Are all other US players able to sit down on FT? The bad news is I have $25 on FT and $3k on Stars....

No point in posting PS/FT withdrawal confirmations. They mean jack ****. Without payment processors, your check will just bounce. Might as well frame it and hang it on your wall.

In Costa Rica, but registered as US and the client will not let me sit down at a table. So it's not by IP

I found it interesting that one of the articles describing the money laundering talked about 1/3 (or a majority) of the revenue pstars and ftp generated was through rake

Weirdly, the FTP site is displaying the FBI notice for me, but I can still get onto their forums and also my promotions page via the cashier.

Have cleared cache etc.

i just withdraw $300 in the united states and received a confirmation saying it has been credited to my account.

Hmm, wonder how this will effect me in Canada, our banks and country tend to follow the USA!

Is this a big enough of a hit that Pokerstars could shut down fully? I doubt it, but are people in other countries withdrawing their roll as a precaution?

Curious to see what others think and are doing.

I guess the games just got a whole lot tougher again!

I only got to page 10 before I just had to chime in so if these things have been mentioned already then sorry for double post.

#1 Allof you who think that just because your cashout requests are "approved" lol at thinking your gonna receive your funds. They are now property of the US gov. Prolly never see it.

#2 has anyone mentioned the coincidental passing of the law to legalize Internet gambling in the district of Columbia just a week or so ago? The US just destroyed all the competition and now they have absolute power over online poker/ gambling to run it the way they see fit. Yes a new beginning but if its run by states there will never be a large online gar such as a Sunday million in The near future.

I am sad to say that I am no longer proud to be an American citizen. **** the USA gov they have to socialize / ruin everything they touch.

What happened to a Dem administration being good for online poker?
04-15-2011 , 04:26 PM
probably Harrah's pushed for this to have any chance to compete in the online space at all.

This is huge news. Still completely unsure whether to withdraw my BR from Stars. Am in Euroland atm so erring on the side of not bothering until I know more.

Maybe Merge, Bodog and Cake, but I don't really see why this would affect any networks that don't accept US players... Possibly if they are using payment processors which has been seized, but that would probably mean just temporarily delays for money transfers on/off the sites.

What a horrible day...just called to see what is taking so long with my tax return and they transferred me to the "office of special investigations" where my return is being processed.

I wanted to quit using condoms with my new girlfriend so she made us an appointment to get STD tested today. I'm not going. No news is good news at this point.

are players that have accounts on PS, FT and AP screwed as well? in other words, are those sites potentially being forced to hand over names of players?

this may have been answered, but the thread is blowing up faster than i can read it.
