i'm not a regular here, obv.. but, i have read most of this thread and i believe i have seen plenty of posts from american people who are not exactly proud to wave the american flag around at the moment.

I don't think that should be the case, because the gov doesnt make the people and an american isn't just a man in a suit recieving checks from uncle sam..

i am mexican and have actual american friends who feel ashamed to be an american and they're just regular, normal, i don't know, middle income people.. non gamblers (unlike me) and they are just sick of the image they have all over the wolrld.

the fact is: THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS AN ATROCITY.

It´s not ******ed at all. I just spoke for myself and I´m fairly confident I´m part of the vast majority of the online poker community. It´s funny how you berate me for being an idiot losing player (which I´m not) on the one hand and expect me to feel any kind of empathy for online sharks on the other hand. People like you are one of the reasons why I might not miss poker at all.

can someone competent comment on the viability of ub/ap finding new payment processors and just pushing through this?

This reminds me of when Omar held up the poker game in The Wire. Sick deja vu.

The point is, why should it be a sustainable way for people in every country except mine - which claims to be the land of the free?

Sure, the indictments have nothing to do with the actual poker in actuality, but the fact of the matter is a LOT of people with TRUE incomes capable of living a great lifestyle just lost their jobs through no fault of their own.

The American Dream is about acquiring a skill, and using that skill to pursue happiness. A lot of Americans can't do that now.

Just because you weren't good enough to do it, don't hate on those that are.

I mean it obviously sucks and I feel for those who have a family to feed, but don´t you think it´s pretty stupid to lock up most of your net worth in an "online bankroll"? I read many "how to go pro" guides and ALL of them said you had to lock up at least 6 months of living expenses in your bank account before even considering a pro career. I guess most pros did just that and I hope they will get their money before the 6 months are over.

Yeah, but so is the Mexican Government...
110% agreed.

unfortunately, i like to say that this has always been the case throughout the history of mexico..extremely poor governments. we have facking oil, insane beaches, gold, silver, copper, etc etc.. and 70% of the population is poor..

I´m obviously not an insider/expert, but my guess re: UB/AP would be something along the lines of "Every dollar you put on UB/AP right now is a dollar lost". You have to be super desperate to even consider feeding those scumbags.

Yes, it's doomy and it's gloomy and we all wanna die right now, but there WILL be poker in the States online again... get serious.

Can anybody answer:
Is there any legal way for poker rooms to get deposits from and make withdrawals to US citizens?

If there is not, Bodog, Cake, Merge and other rooms and networks working with americans are not save as well.
