For US players, it's the payment processing that is being called fraud so why put my $$ in the hands of the processors. If the processors go down, but not PS on IOM then my $$$ is still safe and I can do a p2p transfer later. If PS goes down also, then I was screwed from the start.

They weren't FORCED into it at all. They chose to carry on trading in a jurisdication that was gunning for them. That's their decision - they didn't have to do it - other companies just left the jurisdiction.

I didn't say the government is blameless - quite the opposite, obviously the regulatory situtation is/was ridiculous. But it's not as if FT/PS are blameless for their customers problems either - they obviously felt they were prepared to run the risk of this situation occurring for the profits in the US market.
