I have a feeling Full Tilt over payed horribly to there pros.
By your way of thinking, if Nike goes out of business then all of the sponsored athletes they paid money to should pay it back. Excuse me, but that is effin ******ed!!! That is not and never will be the way sponsorships work. Those guys get paid for service provided. Whether it's use of their name, appearances, or whatever. That's what sponsorhip is. Management decides how to spend the companies money, not sponsorees. Obviously we all know how horrible the management of fulltilt was, so why not focus on the idiot(s) that caused it to happen?
As far as the general public knows, Ivey had a small ownership in the company, which is believed to be GIVEN to him. The general public does not know what this structure is/was, but most have assumed he had a minority interest. If this is the case, then he had no involvement in the day to day operatioins of fulltilt. It is also BELIEVED and possible, that other people were given small percentages of ownership in return for them being faces of fulltilt. IF this is so, then they were being paid as well.
If management decided to pay them more or too much, that is managments choice. It is not any sponsorees fault for getting paid.
Once again, people should focus on who made the decisions and were at fault.
