I was always going to have to pay whoever owned Full Tilt. (Not what Tapie Group was trying to do which was own assets but not the debts.) Clearly, PokerStars will own Full Tilt in a few days or a little longer, and finally I will know who to pay. I'm curious if they will try to collect from anyone else.

Never had any doubt that Barry was going to pay once a legit deal was finalized....The other players that owe FTP, that's a different story...

I don't get it. Why would they not try to collect from everybody? He makes it sound like he's doing something volontarily when he's going to have to pay his debt just like everybody else will.

Probably 1000 reasons, but we can start with the fact that you weren't in on the ground floor.

And it's "why should you HAVE been allowed to?"

Also, well done Barry, always top marks for class.

I dont think we all understand how that company worked. My guess is was alot of stuff like this going on. like if Ivey needed few 100k to goof around shooting craps he just gottid. Same with well known pros like Barry if he was in mood to play the big cash game he just asked for loan and np. Ivey and Barry are really good friends so i doubt they would ever say no to him. What probably was the biggest issue with Full Tilt was this friendship players just got whatever they wanted.

Loaning pros money is not what brought fulltilt down. Crediting deposits before they were collected and horrible leadership/accounting is what brought them down. It is pokerstars business now and everyone is getting their money back. It is truly none of your business if pokerstars collects money that is owed to them or not.

If Ivey was getting 900k a month and Erik 250k a month saleries or gifts or loans or what ever these paymeants were called dont you think it had a little thing to do with them going down? Do we know how much other Full Tilt Team members were getting, can we compare how much Full tilt was spreading on there players % wise compare to incomes vs like how Stars did it? I have a feeling Full Tilt over payed horribly to there pros.

By your way of thinking, if Nike goes out of business then all of the sponsored athletes they paid money to should pay it back. Excuse me, but that is effin ******ed!!! That is not and never will be the way sponsorships work. Those guys get paid for service provided. Whether it's use of their name, appearances, or whatever. That's what sponsorhip is. Management decides how to spend the companies money, not sponsorees. Obviously we all know how horrible the management of fulltilt was, so why not focus on the idiot(s) that caused it to happen?

As far as the general public knows, Ivey had a small ownership in the company, which is believed to be GIVEN to him. The general public does not know what this structure is/was, but most have assumed he had a minority interest. If this is the case, then he had no involvement in the day to day operatioins of fulltilt. It is also BELIEVED and possible, that other people were given small percentages of ownership in return for them being faces of fulltilt. IF this is so, then they were being paid as well.

If management decided to pay them more or too much, that is managments choice. It is not any sponsorees fault for getting paid.

Once again, people should focus on who made the decisions and were at fault.

Hmmmm, after looking at this: http://www.scribd.com/doc/101713812/...ttlement-Order

It looks like PS acquired FTP pros debt's(almost all the way at the bottom), so hopefully PS collects on these debts from everyone that owes.

BTW I've heard nothing on ivey paying his debts, money he borrowed straight from player deposits...pretty sketchy IYAM. I`m sure ivey has doyle`s undying support and love tho.
