Is there any casino in the world that would let even a known 'whale' play limits high enough (it mentions against the house so likely not poker) that someone could even teoreticly win 4 million per hand? Not to mention even knowing opponents cards you'll be pretty lucky to win 8 hands in a row in any cardgame.

Crown is known for taking GIANT action. There have been whales to have 100 million swings in the baccarat games, and they frequently throw promotions to entice these whales where such swings are definitely possible.

I have heard of guys allowed to bet millions a hand. If anyone remembers the Uncle Joe - Ivey incident, there was a $300k table limit in the Teak room, I think this was craps though. I believe there is a higher vip room, but I am not a Crown reg, I just know some of the dealers who have dealt the absurd action of the baccarat games. When I have been in Teak room, they had 1 million limit table set aside for some fish. They are definitely competing with Macau where such action is very common.

Dealers there are not allowed to play in the casino, but they all play in home games. Many of the dealers are poker pros working a minimal schedule just so they don't have to pay taxes on poker winnings.

first two paragraphs are probably fine but this is kind of funny... apart from the fact no aussie poker players are paying tax, did you ever think that they play home games for fun?

We don't have to pay taxes on gambling winnings because it's not a common enough profession here for Australia to even care about taxing poker players.

Crown have a max differential of 300k on all games, I knew this before this happened and it was confirmed to me from a manager that hinted the 32mil might not be accurate

Ivey has never been allowed to bet more than 300k per hand baccarat but even then he doesn't always play that high

Assuming it was baccarat which is what has been hinted, it would need to be 4m per hand, which isnt happening this century.

Crown may have taken big action years ago, but if they did they certainly dont anymore

Also the chips were commission chips that big international players use with no cash value, so if they've run out with these chips they'll never be able to cash them in. from what I understand they left with basically nothing

I don't understand why they just kicked the guy out of the casino as opposed to having him arrested on the spot.

Seems like another fake news story to me. Forget about the ridiculous sums, I don't even see how the cheating was possible. A camera in the sky is going to help you cheat in which game....?

yh as if they would just ask him to leave and allow him to leave the country after trying to rob them of 32M, won't bother arresting him! - wtf this story is so FOS, much more likely the guy rinsed the casino for a ton and they squirmed their way out of paying him
