Some of the pro- Annie Duke shilling in this thread could be coming from reputation.com (or a similar company).

People hire them to troll the net searching for one's name.
If anything negative is said about a client, they post positive things about the person and do everything possible on the net to improve a client's reputation.

I doubt that rumor is true but even if it was tournament earnings at the WSOP/EPT/WPT and elsewhere are heavily distorted anyways it doesn't take in accounts deals backers/trades and the players ROI *not to mention how much is won/lost in cash games), for example Antonio Esfandiari is listed with the most winnings in tournaments was isn't listed and what is not known is how much he had of himself in the games he played namely OneDrop.

What is officially ranked isn't reality anyways.

I think what David was saying is if you shame people for giving to worthy causes only because they are acting out of their self interest by publicizing their philanthropy then it makes it less likely that they will want to do so again.

As I recall it the rumour, and it was nothing more than that AFAIK, was that Negreanu was the last left who didn't want to chop and after he busted the remaining players chopped.

There are so many nasty things Duke has done that wouldn't sound like much one at a time but make a very long list all put together.
