Not that I claim to know anything, but I think it's pretty ridiculous to call someone Satan. A) There are much much worse people out there and B) Everyone is a good person in their nature (imo), people just get mixed up in the world

In fairness, she HAS done a decent amount for various causes and charities*.

Problem is, all of that is greatly offset by some enormous lapses in judgment over the years. We at 2+2 certainly know all about her transgressions and shady dealings. But it's sad and a little appalling how well her image has held up among the casual fans or non-poker fans. Take a visit to her Facebook page and see for yourself (warning: don't do it on a full stomach).

I'd love to see an ElevenGrover or someone attend one of Duke's seminars, then go full steam ahead if/when the floor is opened to questions.

*EDIT: despite all the work she has done for hospitals and school programs, I wouldn't want her near any of it because I'd fear she would scrape a few too many bucks off the top for herself.

The diligent scrubbing of her Wikipedia article is partly responsible for holding her image up. An editor with a paid conflict of interest made the request a while ago, and it seems there weren't any reliable sources to preserve any of the negative claims against her. See the Talk page.

Just a thought for any Wikipedia editors out there. I do not know enough about Duke to gather sources or edit her article.

I was taught growing up, that if you do something nice for someone else, keep quiet about it, otherwise your doing it for yourself.

I feel people that "advertise" all the charity work they do tend to have ulterior motives......but that's just my opinion.

She left a wake of destruction in the Poker Community, and never addressed it.

She is not alone.

why don't we just find out every gig she has and get dozens of people to continuously email them and tell them just who they are hiring imo

She got paid "at least" $300,000 from the "Epic Poker League" that has been made public....for running THREE Poker Tournaments.

I wouldn't go that far. She is a horrible person though. The poster above who stated something to the effect that all people are inherently good is wrong though. A person's basic instinct is to protect/enrich their own and their loved one's life. Most people take into account morals and ethics when deciding on how to go about this. People like Annie Duke don't care who has to suffer for themselves to prosper. It's a major distinction between good and bad people. She is scum, absolute garbage. Bottom line.
