one time.

If this is true then he probably has finally done the right thing, assuming it really is an enabler to the PokerStars buyout.

The OP is allegedly an insider and it hasn't been reported yet. Also, Poker is not big news, especially online poker.

Confirmed by US Attorney's office - we'll have a story up soon

What's the name of Ray's lawyer again? Maybe someone could contact him?

By the DOJ offering him a deal and the possibility of returning to his home country for a significant portion of the rest of his life, as well as the possibility of saving his name, maybe.

Hope it is true but so far no other confirmation on the web. OP's only other post:

Just more BS spin. Every time there is bad news they pump some pitiful spin like leaked emails about players getting paid. Of course mentioning Poker Stars, too.

These guys take the cake. Everyone involved really is the lowest scum on the earth and a majority of the ones involved would go to prison for many years, if the system was fair.

Here's hoping that Bitar, Ferguson, Phil Gordon, Rafe Furst, Phil Ivey, and Howard Lederer are forced to give up their cash and put in a few years in the slammer.

Players have zero chance of getting paid. Get over it.

Yet they let him spell PokerStars as two words?

Genius level thinking. Not happening, though. Sorry.

I was about to post the same link. And note, that news was broken WELL before any other site published about it and PStars ended up making that Corporate blog post (which was edited into the OP.)

I can't wait for OP's next thread.

I think it's probably just an oversight especially since Full Tilt is two words.

i know for a fact that upon approval of releasing funds there is a max wait period of 90 days (but no min). this was a DOJ stipulation for closing the deal with bernard tapie.
Monthly salaries does not mean payouts obv. And yeah it would be no later than 90 days after the deal closes that everyone would have to legally have their money returned.

Waiting to see pic of Bitar attempting to shove a lobster down his throat while being hand cuffed by the Feds.

"The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York confirmed to eGR that Bitar had returned to the US from Ireland, and that he had given himself up for arrest by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)"

But why would he choose such an obvious story...this guy is not into stating the obvious. He's the next Woodward and Bernstein all rolled into one.

One interesting thing from the Bitar e-mail ...

Sounds like he has pre-negociated with DoJ and expects to *not* be in a prison cell.
