Great thread - I always thought Sam Angel had something to do with sports betting or running one of the vegas books - I must be thinking of a different Sam or something from way back in the day

Kim "The Dragon Lady" had her own table at Binion's. No one ever played on it but her. It would be manned by a dealer day and night just in case she decided to show up and gamble.

I knew someone who knew her and used to gamble with her, and was told the following story:

Kim had been playing and losing badly. She was betting cash. Teddy Binion was sweating the action. After losing one particular hand she picked up the cash and tore it to pieces and threw it at the dealer.

Teddy became enraged. They (Binions) had put up with her **** for a long time and he blew a gasket.

"Listen to me, Kim." He said. "When you lose that money it's now My money and you don't ever do that to my ****ing money, cause if you ever do that again, I'll drag you into the back room and beat the living ****ing **** out of you."

She never did that again, and was 86'd shortly thereafter. They'd won enough of her money and had enough of her.
