I bet it's no news for anyone here but it's scary to see the graph, also you can see the estimation of 2016 which continues to sink even lower. You can play around and see more details here: http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=poker

My thoughts is they should buy advertising on big porn sites

That is actually a really good idea.

PokerStars is so image conscious, but if I were one of the lower tier poker sites, buying an ad on a pornsite would be such a good idea. If people are willing to click on "this one trick doctors don't want you to know increases your wang by 4 sizes", surely some people will be intrigued by poker.

He works in mysterious ways iirc

Seriously though, this was always pretty obviously going to happen. The sites over rake the games to the point where there aren't any interesting poker stories any more, just an inevitable slow drain. Why would anybody even care about poker any more if they aren't a grinder/degen?

Poker players are not a famous as they or their fans think.
The most famous poker players are not as famous as Carrot Top and Kathy Griffin.

and they pretty flatline in comparison to someone like Jennifer Lopez & Kim Kardashian.

As long as we stay ahead of vegetables, I think we'll be alright. You might not be able to tell, but Caesar salad is on an upswing. Location breakdowns are actually pretty interesting for things like this.

What I can't understand is why the interest is predicted to be almost zero in the forecast...
