Its come down to not even wanting more on ur account than 2 days of real bad luck will bring, and withdrawing everything after every win.

Someone should make a utube video in dedication to all the fallen site, call it the online poker grave yard.

too bad I only saw this now.

Guys in a bankruptcy in the UK, especially for publically traded companies there is a hierarchy of who gets paid back.

At the bottom is the common shareholders who normally get nothing, then the preferred shareholders, then the junior bondholders, then senior bondholders, then the bank, and the first guys to get paid back are customers and employees who are owed wages. Poker players should have first call on any money left in this company, but it doesnt look like management is doing this.

I recommend as many of you email the fsa as possible and ask them to look into it. The more the better.

As well if anyone has any contacts at the ft (financial times) please email them and tell them to look into this story. They always like a good scandal.

if i was a owner of a eleaf skin id take some sort of legal action vs lga or eleaf . i seen no other way this can or will be resovled. id hire a lawyer in there country to at the very least show that the lga is withholding money and running at best a shady operation fronting as a legit gaming company liscennee . id move to have them stripped of this title.

Everyone who have money please email FSA ASAP! I know there is a few players who have done this and FSA is probably investigating the issue, but if they get more preassure they will have to take more and more action.

I don't have a lot of money on PPL, but if somebody could post an example e-mail and an e-mail address to send it to I'd be happy to help out.

Purple Lounge Malta has not been put into liquidation yet and Media Corp says "the liquidation process requires people to register their debts and each player with a balance will be contacted by the liquidators over the coming weeks".

The Purple Lounge player group mentioned above (playerclaimplounge@gmail.com) has over 50 persons currently claiming a total of over 500,000$. Obviously there isn't much left (if anything) in PL bank accounts to cover the outstanding player balances and predictably the current MDC management blames the old guard.

More pressure form affected players is certainly beneficial.

I don't see why anyone thinks the FSA has any authority to do anything about this. Has anyone had any communication from them saying that they do?

I can only imagine that the lawyer who suggested them was confused about poker site deposits and unauthorised deposit taking.

What I know about this is,

1. Mother company is regulated by FSA
2. When you fill a complaint they are legally forced to investigate

You should reported them to the police in the UK. In te 5050Poker case, which is very similar, players reported them to Swedish police. Site was licensed in Malta, but the owners/suspects are Swedish, and some victims are in Sweden. The Swedish police have started an official investigation into the case.

Purple Lounge was operated out of the UK, had payment processing there, all the prinpal scammers live there. My understanding is that only the servers and the licence was in Malta. It should be a matter for the UK police.

Hello,

I just wanted to share this(Im part of the group who went to court, but basically all the credit for that work goes to someone else, just fyi), but I felt like posting this.
Sorry I didnt do it earlier,I also just got this like 1Hour ago.
Also apalogies/delete post if this is wrong here.
Here it goes, I actually got quite a bit more info, but Im not sure if its meant to be published.

ATTENTION ALL FORMER PURPLE LOUNGE PLAYERS WHO HAVE LOST THEIR MONEY
You may not be aware that Media Corporation Plc has formally admitted that THEY owe you the funds held in your former Purple Lounge player account which have to date been denied to you. A meeting is being held in London tomorrow (2nd May 2014) at 11.30am at which it is intended to pass a vote, which if successful, will mean you will not be able to pursue Media Corporation Plc for full return of your funds. A number of former Purple Lounge players have formed a group called The Players Claim Group. Their combined claim is for £500,000. They have already registered a vote against the proposals being presented tomorrow. The more people that join the group and agree to vote against the proposals the more likely they will be rejected. To that end we ask you as a former Purple Lounge player who has lost money to read the below, enter the amount of money you have lost and date and sign this document. IMMEDIATE ACTION IS REQUIRED.
Please then return it after scanning to: playerclaimplounge@gmail.com
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Please copy below text into an empty document and sign and scan to above address)
I am a former Purple Lounge poker player who lost money when Purple Lounge closed down on 23 of April 2012
I understand that Mr John Michael Botros, sole director of Media Corporation Plc, has admitted the debt of Purple Lounge poker players within the group known as The Player Claim Group while at the same time he has stated that their funds were stolen by former directors.
I wish to join The Player Claim Group with immediate effect and support their vote against a Company Voluntary Arrangement. I wish to see Media Corporation Plc liquidated so that independent liquidators can be appointed to thoroughly investigate the company’s affairs and the conduct of former directors.

My name is:

The amount I am owed is (approximately if you cant remember exactly):

edit: sorry that I cant write more now,Il be back in 1Hour or so, also this has to be sent within next 4hours.
