Can he get communications in those areas? Why is the lawyer watching?
I can imagine more compelling viewing experiences than “Guy by himself in pitch black room, occasionally eating.”

On a side note, while OP is often given a hard time for his threads (deservedly so much of the time), credit to him here - I can't find a source for this story that is less than 3 days after Allen started this thread (there could be some, but clearly OP was in early on this one). Including a link in that "The Action Network" story to the "Poker Fives" (LOL) article on November 29th that they credit with starting the betting world talking about it. Wait, what?

LOL, very true. That said, I'm sure some would watch.

So when food is delivered how does that work? Did they make a slot where no light is admitted lol

What if he has secretly worked out a way to communicate with a confederate via Morse code? Would having an occasional slow, tapped out conversation be enough to stem the negative effects of being without human interaction for a prolonged period of time (in addition to being made aware of the actual passage of time)? If so, how often would he need to "talk"?

I don't know about that. Considering this guy gets millions of views.

You're confusing "compelling" with "popular".

shows how much I know, I would have bet all my money he couldn't do it for 2 weeks.

IMO, The food delivery has to count as interaction if he can see/hear what is going on. Would have been better to be delivered 'blind' via a front and back door fridge.

The interview with the dad mentions that he goes into another part of the room when the food delivery comes. I'm assuming this is to guarantee no significant interaction. It's probably a big bathroom with separate room with door for toilet. I bet he goes in there when the delivery comes. His dad mentioned that he went with a food delivery recently, so he was there in the room, but I guess no communication with his son. Crazy.

My biggest question is just how dark they could really make that bathroom. Even a tiny bit of light poking through would make such a huge difference in his ability to navigate easily and keep track of time.

And they have to contact him somehow to let him know "Hey food's coming go into the other part of the room or whatever." It's not like he's in a remote ghost town with no one around. I think that makes a difference. Just knowing other people are around you, having an active imagination. The only problem would be the lack of light but I'm sure humans have some kind of hibernation mode we can tap into. It's winter after all.

Yeah I'm kind of slow...

But I was thinking more in contrast to how everyone is still talking about him as a dog. People keep saying its impossible to make it past X amount of hours and hes still in there after 2 weeks?

Just wait until after he does it and everyone starts saying how easy it was and that anyone can do it
