I know a guy who's not white or asian, pretty solid poker player too. He has a fairly tag almost nitty style, but somehow it tends to freeze people. Probably has to do with his table talk and his vurry 'spensive watches. Even I've been frozen a time or two by how 'spensive they are.

The only FAIR solution is to seperate non-Asian minorities from the rest of the pool and have them play down and then have an inflated percentage of them, (with respect to the whole field) maybe double, represented at the unofficial final table.

So if a tourney starts with 200 whites and asians and 20 who are not...8 whites or asians can make the final table, while 2 not in this category are represented

The inflated percentage is to make up for past underrepresentation

I would also be in favor of those 2 to also be given more chips at the final table as historically they represent such a low number of bracelet winners and that is just wrong and shouldn't be happening in today's society.

What will he do if he coaches his definition of non Asian, non white people but finds that a very high percentage of those he coaches don't make the grade, blame it on variance?

Will he be means testing which non white, non Asian people can get his free coaching.
For example if Bill Perkins requests the free coaching, will he allow him to have it? Come to think of it, does PH class Bill Perkins as non white, non Asian?

Has he even considered that maybe, just maybe certain ethnic groups have a greater aptitude and/or drive, or historical cultural influences in certain fields of endeavour than other ethnic groups?

Incidentally, Phil Ivey is of mixed race, as indeed are many/most African American athletes that excel in certain sports that white people don't excel in. This also applies to Jamaican sprinters, almost all of mixed race. So the whole subject is vast and complex. If PH looks into it he'll also find that many or most of his free coaching applicants are of mixed race.
