Pokerstars threatens regulars Pokerstars threatens regulars

Many regulars of pokerstars.es are receiving this e-mail:

Seat Me – the system for ring game seating – was implemented on PokerStars.ES in January of 2017. Since then, we have experimented with time penalties, the point of which is to prevent players from abusing the system by avoiding playing hands against difficult opponents. These players jump in and out of the Seat Me pools excessively to hunt the recreational players which the system is designed to protect.

We are happy with the impact Seat Me is having, but we have identified a number of players who are generating a very high number of time penalties. You are one such player.

After careful review we have decided that we will take further action against players who generate more penalties than the average, which is three penalties per day. From now on we will be closely monitoring the number of penalties you generate. If you exceed this number then you may be subject to a suspension of your playing privilege up to and including a permanent suspension.

In my case, I can accumulate a penalty per day, but three is a lie, and other regulars have complained that it is a lie to have three penalties per day

I've asked Pokerstars for a report showing me that accusation

I'm waiting for an answer.

This is pokerstars today, a room that threatens regulars with false accusations

So they are punishing you for being a massive bumhunter? Good job PokerStars.

This sounds like a rollout of what Daniel Negreanu talked about on his recent podcast.

(21:00) "So what if these guys sit down as soon as they see someone sit? They see who it is — they don’t like it — and then they SIT OUT? And they just leave the table? Well, part of the way the system is going to work is it’ll incur penalties for that. So if you do that, you know, the first time maybe you have a 15-minute wait. You do it again… it’s 30, an hour, or what not. I don’t know exactly what the numbers look like in terms of penalties, but I’m all for them being as drastic as need be."

(26:38) “Now, there’s a lot of different things you can do to eliminate seat scripting, and I think the SEAT ME option is one. I personally, if it was up to me, I would just put a ban on it. And I agree with Joey wholeheartedly on this. That I would just say, ‘Ban them entirely, and if you find people are using them you can temporarily ban their accounts/fully ban their accounts.’ And the issue from the other side is, how do we catch them effectively? And, it doesn’t take long. Just the threat of it will alleviate the situation."

Op play by the rules and will be no problems

Unfortunately for you to there are so many un honest bum hunters they need to draw a line somewhere and if u don’t like it go to a site like 888 or wpn where they don’t care about cheating

Bye

When he says regulars he means regular bum hunters

You have not understood the post

With the Seat Me system it is impossible to be a bumhunter, Because you can not see the tables and you do not choose which table you play on.

The system forces you to play twelve hands when you open a table, if you do not, you receive a time penalty.

My ratio of penalties per day, is less than one, and many times is due to connection failure

Therefore, I am not a bumhunter, nobody is a bumhunter at pokerstars.es, and they accuse me of something that is a lie and they threaten me

Seriously, do you defend Pokerstars?

They accuse you of a lie and threaten you? Boo ****ing hoo.

Stars has done a looooot of bad things lately. This is not one of them.
02-08-2018 , 04:49 AM
I defend them if they are cracking down on hardcore bumhunters
02-08-2018 , 04:52 AM
I see recreational players jumping a lot more than regs tbh.

I'm glad I can't play on Stars. You don't have the liberty of choosing what table to play? VIP has been raped? More games that are more gamble then strategy? They don't want poker, they want an old school money printing casino. **** them.

It's not Pokerstars anymore, it's casinostars. Casinos can eat [censored].

PokerStars have said they would do this from day 1 of implementing Seat Me. They don't want people to push the limits/penalties to the max for Seat Me, they want people to sit and play poker. If you're hopping around looking for better seats regularly, expect this kind of attention.

If Stars is threatening to suspend players who average more than three penalties per day, and you say you average less than one, then I fail to see how this will affect you or why you are concerned.

According to Pokerstars I average more than three, and as it is a lie, I have asked to show it to me

There are other players, who have not played in 3-4 months on Pokerstars.es, and they have received the same email

IMO, Pokerstars tries to scare people

By the way, in Spain, Pokerstars.es has 90% of the market, there are no alternatives

The text you posted says they will punish you if you incur 3+ penalties in a day, not if that is your average.

Have you ever incurred 3 penalties in one day?
