The alpha concluded a bit ago so it's not in the client any more. Presumably a beta will be released in the nearish future, but could be a week, could be a year.

Tried the 'alpha/beta/whatever' for a few minutes, I dont really know what to think it seems like such a gimmick

What's that, 10 different tabs now, not including The Deal, Sports, Casino and something called Vegas. Normal poker will be part of a new tab called 'Other Games' soon.

That basically already happens. The million dollar freerolls had limited entries so you had to win a small SNG to win a ticket into an all-in "tourney" that then gave you a ticket to the freeroll. You didn't even need to be logged in to play; you could sit there if you wanted to but everything was played for you.

So its 14% rake with the play money, any word from PS on what the rake might be when real money comes? Do you think there is any chance in hell that it might be beatable like 5-7% rake or will it be at least 10% ?

Fintan was streaming PowerUp for real money this morning. Apparently it is currently launched in .eu client only with global rollout coming soon. What changes have people noticed between alpha and beta rollouts? Anything major or minor?

I continue to believe game is super fun, interesting, and strategically deep. There will be great opportunities to exploit bad players while still maintaining a fun and engaging experience for all players. The graphics are top notch. The rake seems reasonable at 8% -- admittedly high for a hyper but I expect they'll also roll out deepstacked versions like they did for play money, not to mention I expect it'll be easy for a good player to crush this rake (Fintan won a game after his opponent folded every hand to blind off including folding his bb at 300/600 with 700 chips, leaving himself just 100 chips behind -- a different opponent wasted a PowerUp by playing EMP then folding).

It might be cool to see PowerUps spread as 3max zoom MTTs. Also, adding a spin n go prizepool multiplier element might further entice the recs.

Standard play imo. EMP is a weak card in various stages of tournament, want to dump it to clear space.
