So you need to play like how many hours to get itm? 12, 14?
This is not how poker structures work, like not even close.

Most recent Sunday Million ran 13 hours and 12 minutes, unless the $109 draws significantly more or less than double the amount of players as the $215, it should last about an hour longer(figure out how which level the average Sunday Million ends, and then figure out how long it will take the blinds be ~double that level, which is usually four levels late in tournaments.)

I'll be very surprised if dropping the buyin attracts a ton more recs.

In before they move back to a $200 buy in + $18 rake which becomes the new normal.

Im also quite a rec and I think I will play it regularly (unless it's runtime is really really long). With old buyin I was playing it like once every 3 months.

From my perspective, something needed to be done about the Sunday Million, but moving the start time was more of what I had in mind.
Back in 2013, I won the Warmup (yeah, brag). I didn't finish playing until 4am (It started at 16.30) UK time. I was a mess at work the next day. The money made it all good though.

3 months later, I bubbled the FT of the Milly, having started at 7pm. I was KO'd about half an hour before I had to go to work. For 7 grand. I haven't played it since.

I certainly won't be playing the new one with it lasting even longer, even if it is only an extra hour.

How pathetic, I remember back in 2006 playing the milly with 280k up top.... with Lee jones giving his corny jokes to the busted players, now they are cutting it in half and gonna pay way more players, to ensure people cash and pay less on top..... where you ahve to ebat more players LOL. Trashy move

I'm so surprised with all the great decisions they've made over the last few years that business isn't booming at Pokerstars.

Milli is a stinker for recreational players in the UK if you work a 9-5. Even a top 50 finish means you're up until 3/4am having started grinding long into the evening.

I have always thought that with fewer players in NA now start times should be shifted slightly to align with more Euro traffic. That being said there is no way to please everyone as no matter what time it ends someone will end up regging in the middle of the night and finishing up a deep run around lunchtime.

Yeah I think an earlier start would make more sense, it's still at roughly the same time as it was when US players made up the bulk of the player pool.

Let's start 24h earlier - Saturday evening. I would love it Remember few times I had painful Monday at work after running deeper in SM and it is quite discouraging.

this. if anyone thinks this isnt yet another terrible money grab, they are probably wrong. payouts will be much much more flat, rake is higher, im sure if it starts to overlay there will be a gtd decrease or more rebuys allowed.

wonder how long until stars adds a slots wheel you can play between hands

You do realize that the chart of virtually every online gaming stock looks very similar over that time period right?

GVC -41% from peak, William Hill -47%, etc etc

Truth be told, US was the biggest market but now it's brazil! So timezone isn't much different for them. VAMOO. But there's also lots of players from eastern europe playing. I guess mtt players from Russia don't see much the light of day...

I’d question that. Just a scroll through the lobby will show the majority of players are in the CET/CET+1 area.

Did not realize that. I thought live sports viewership was on a clear uptrend so assumed sports betting must be doing well too. Do you know the reasons why everyone's tanking? There has to be specific changes in legislation or something for drops so big and I'm clearly not up to date.

And looks like the others still dropped 10 points less on the same timeframe of the past 6 months, which is amusing for a company that's only interested in shortsightedly squeezing out every last penny from its customers in a predatory manner.

As I type this there are 79,169 players logged into real money play at Pokerstars. If everyone were sitting at cash tables that would fill up almost 10,000 games.

Of course the players are distributed across the whole range of buy-ins and some large percentage are playing tournaments, not cash, while others are logged in but not playing. But the bottom line is that PS is raking thousands of tables and hundreds of tournaments across all buy-in levels at every moment of the day and night.

I'm sure they are doing fine.
