“ PokerStars is changing the amount of rake paid in micro-stakes cash games, effective from April 2, 2024.

In No Limit and Pot Limit cash games (excluding Omaha and Zoom), the rake percentage at stakes of:

$0.01/$0.02 will increase from 3.5% to 5%
$0.02/$0.05 will increase from 4.15% to 5%
$0.05/$0.10 will increase from 4.5% to 5%
Additionally, at these stakes, the rake cap for all hands will be set to $1. This adjustment applies exclusively to these stakes and does not impact other levels.

The rake in Kick-Off tournaments will increase from 10% to 12%.

The rake in Multi-Table Sit & Go’s and Heads-Up Sit & Go’s will remain unchanged.

However, the rake in micro, low, and medium stakes Single-Table Sit & Go’s will increase as follows”

doesnt affect me luckily but quite the dick move on stars behalf, first "increasing" rakeback which seems to be not the case for most players and then increasing rake for the micro players

Well, I don't know about you, but I am convinced and sold! **** The beginner nerds dumb enough to try climb cash from $50, who wants that? Bring us the folks playing 10 hands per day busting their pennies that get them sick power path tickets baby, they don't care about our 50bb rake cap anyways!

The year of 2024 has been a super cringe year for PokerStars. They promised more than they could give.

Maybe for the MS and HS regulars everything is super fine since: they don't play micros. But sooner or later they will be affected, they are not immune to rake increases.

One day they make the rakecap 50BB on 2NL, on the next day they also do this for 5NL, then 10NL, and this cycle will repeat till 200NL rakecap is 50BB.

And when this happens all midstakes regulars will come here and cry asking for a boycott. But it will be too late hehe, go play live poker fish.

If this was the case the traffic would be way higher than now. I don't think anyone is that happy with the new system. If you read discord probably 98% of the comments are on the negative side. For some reason stars doesn't understand that the regs brings in the traffic for the recs.

I learned from Limon that the Poker Industrial Complex always wanted to perpetuate the illusion that being a professional poker player is an attainable and worthwhile goal for literally everyone.

In a way, it's sort of admirable that after all these years Stars that have pretty much started the online Poker Dream from rags to riches with Supernova Elites, Porsches etc. have publicly come out and pretty face up said "**** you serious people trying to grind from the bottom up, we are all about the recs now, go away, play for fun, play a couple of hands a day and enjoy the power path tickets to our events instead. Touche. No boycott of people they don't want in the first place is going to change their minds.

I play low stakes sngs so new rb changes are something like this. If u play 10s 9handed regular turbo (old rb was 0.80 and now its 1dollar) and made 0.7dollar with 7% ROI now u make 0.5dollar which is quite huge and i think a lot of regs dont even make that. Imagine u win like 0.5dollar per game and now u will win only 0.3dollar... its almost half ur profit. for 5s sngs its even worse. Rb was 0.45 and now its 0.60 so if u make 7% ROI which is 0.35dollar now its 0.20dollar. Interesting one was that for non turbo games rb rised even more for 10s reaching 1.40dollar per game which is ridiculous

6,25% Rake and no rakeback for me as an German player.
