partypoker shot-caller Rob Yong is polling his Twitter followers, asking them whether partypoker should follow suit and limit players to 4 cash game tables like PokerStars has done.

If anything this will increase bumhunting as you want the profitable tables, you don't want to waste a table on one full of regs if you're only 4 tabling.

if u are a wise pro player u do whats max ev. Back in the day good rb tiers and high hph was worth being monogamous to stars. Once its gone u are just burning ur hourly by not adding other sites. If u are making business decisions based on what software ""feels like home" its amazing u survived this long

Prediction: Stars will follow up this change with a promotion for Zoom Poker.

Zoom is a much more efficient rake machine and is far easier for conducting player analysis. Stars will be more able to figure out who is losing money and how much.

They will then adjust reload bonuses/ VIP treatment accordingly.

One thing it should hopefully do is force higher games to run. If regs want to keep the same hourly everyone will have to play higher. I would think the games will get a lot harder, too.

Ask any table starter that games fill up much quicker when regs are playing compared to when 0 people are. Limit the amount of regs playing, you limit the amount of tables for recs to join. Resulting in them more likely to move to casino or bet on something where pokerstars make 100% of the money. This is just a ploy to try move customers to casino games.

Also slowly moves all regs to zoom resulting in more rake. Its another attempt for stars to get more cash, they dont give a **** about state of online poker or how "the games" are.

This is completely true, there is something about a lot of tables running that increases the likelihood a fun player will join tables on any poker site. I do understand the many reasons sites have to keep rec players around for longer, but at some point it would be nice for them to not always hurt the grinders that are raking them so much money. Hopefully this incentivizes their competitors to cater to the big grinders, but I doubt it. Especially when other famous players spout the good for the ecosystem line.

the average reg should get better, but reg/rec ratio should also be better thus not really harder games

Yes I really saw during SCOOP they only playing 1 table at a time. Also buying just one entry to the same tournament, you know, throwing away your profitability and valuable time. YOLO so let's just waste time while at the pc by winning potentially less.
