I have a feeling it will be more like unibet type of system where the smaller stakes players gets more and the higher you go eventually you get nothing.

the extra rake is also for the purpose of cutting back on the pros/grinders. those 16 tabling people using software click click clicking. they are making it so those people are forced to play less tables/less volume but make the sessions count. basically they are trying to level the edge against the recs and force players to play smarter and make the sessions count or the rake paid through long sessions is too much at times to overcome.

they are basically saying u want to earn a living at playing poker no problem. but you're gonna have to earn your money like the average rec/fish does by making your sessions count more. yes its a punishment to those who grind out 16-24 tables many hours a day.

i see what they are doing. kudos pokerstars. fantastic job!!!!

many arent going to like this cause they are spoiled using the software for insane volume. the extra rake compensates for the less volume the grinders and multitablers will pay.
Dude we know your just some shill that doesn't even play olp this helps no one and its not going to slow amayas bleeding stock. I suspect they will be selling stars within 2years, they may have the poker market cornered, but there are plenty of sportsbook/casino options for row players so im not sure how much more revenue they expect to make from them.

With an announcement this big I'd expect to see a Pokerstars Rep making a thread. Seems like they are past PR attempts at this point.

Can't seem to find this email in any of my inboxes - not sure if it's there, and am just not seeing it ... or if they've only sent notice to Goldstar and higher again?

They haven't said for certain that Supernova rewards will be reduced. They said that they are subject to change, which they always were.

Secondly, its much better if you can get Supernova rewards now after a month of grinding as opposed to having to wait an entire year to get the 30% rewards.

I assume that you will have to get 9000 VPPs a month to get the Supernova rewards.

It's good news as long as the rewards aren't cut to ****
Sorry to break it to you bro but they aren't going to make the same Supernova with 27% (not 30%) attainable by just getting 9000 VPP's the old way. The entire point of the e-mail is that your VIP level is not calculated on how much volume you put but what kind of games you play etc... So basically if you degen at slots you get supernova (with like 20% rapeback probably) in 5 days but if you play 6max 200 cash you will get 3.50 VPP's per decade.

Yeah so the 20tabling nits cut down to 6 tables and loosened up a bit and played even better which I'm guessing caused the majority of the increase in average VPIP.

to be fair some definitely quit. and nits reducing tables and playing more hands (in some cases better) should still make a better experience for recreational (and frankly all) players. less time-banking etc and slightly looser games.

If regs play less tables and actually think about their decisions then recreational players will loose at a much faster rate

this may be great, bring some ultimate D-gening

i want to see nanonoko, 24 table some 6 max cash, while having 20 slots spinning on the side, a few roulette tables running on his ipad, while 20 tabling some blackjack, he'll soon take over george lind in vpps, while getting a massive adrenaline rush and fix from all the gambling options available.

Ya I was being stupidly optimistic. If rewards were going to stay the same they would have said.

I don't understand why everyone just doesn't move over to Americas Cardroom.

You get Supernova rakeback there the second you sign up

Currently, your VIP progress resets each month, but our rewards should be personalized to your recent gaming activity and profile

This should be the most scary thing IMO and I don't know why anyone didn't bring this up.
If my comprehension is correct, they could value winners and losers differently. i.e. you can be a supernova loser and have 30% or you can be a supernova winner and get 5%

yeah but some regs also quit completely, and the overall number of players at tables that are regs should be less. also i'd say the edge of a reg doesn't change too much vs. recreational players as it does vs. other regs, auto-piloting and playing reasonable poker is always going to do healthily against rec players.

You would like us to think that, but the truth is most of the rake-back grinders are like this guy:

I got no fear of them. I hate playing with guys that are at 20+ tables, I get to sit and watch their clock tick down to zero (again) before they fold (again.) You get two or three of them at two or three of your tables and your games are dead. Good riddance to them.
