Played pot-limit and six-max, Fusion begins with each player receiving two cards. A normal hold'em round of betting follows, and then a flop arrives.
This is where the game begins to alter, as each player receives a third card at that point. Action continues, and everyone left after the turn receives another card, completing the hole cards into a four-card Omaha hand.
At that point, the game becomes regular PLO, with players required to use two cards from their hands to make a five-card hand at showdown.

Currently has a $1/$2 game running.

Increase the variance but lower the skill! What’s not to love!

Sounds like the game is Omaha all along, just with some no-peek element removed over a couple of rounds. Alternatively, it is always Omaha with added cards drawn by each player,

Sounds stupid, to be honest.

it's pretty fun to be honest (played 200-300hands today)

also super fishy (but that may be because it is new, we will see)

just had a quick look on youtube for some gameplay, and this is what i found:

imo it is WAY better than unfold (that was like watching paint dry), but let's see how this game will be in 2 weeks

Muck everything that is not a suited connector, suited Ace, or AA.

Enjoy.

This is actually a good game. It feels like something someone would play in a home game and I could see it catching on in live poker rooms. I wonder how this would play hi/lo.

I just hope PokerStars doesn't do something stupid like claim it as their IP and sue any unaffiliated rooms that offer it. That would kill any chances this game has.

"I have high hopes for this game, I think it can be extremely popular, much more so than some of the other variants that they're releasing -as much as we love to play those as well."

I know most Twitch streamers are fishing for a PokerStars sponsorship these days, but do they have to be so blatant about it?

Actually just played this and it was fun to be fair despite mostly hating stars now

Seems pretty soft due to all the clueless holdem players. Hands like JJ/QQ are getting 3bet

while equities will run closer, QQ/JJ will still have more equity than anything other than AA, KK and AK, so unless you plan on 3betting 3% it might be a good idea to 3bet them

JJ with two random sidecards is a pretty terrible hand and most of them shouldn't even be opened from early positions. I'd rather be 3-betting A2 as the ace should be an even better blocker than in PLO.

FWIW: the solver is 3-betting a grand total of 0% of single-suited and rainbow JJxx and QQxx combos in PLO, even on the button vs a cutoff open.

Remember, you are constructing a PLO hand, piece by piece. Holdem equity does not apply.

except any suited connectors with 2 random side cards is even more trash. I actually run a sim, QQxx vs 87sxx with unblocked FD has over 60:40 advantage (http://www.propokertools.com/simulat...A%2A&s=classic), which is massive. Surprisingly, the results is almost the same for JJxx

As expected, this game with heavily promote playing very nitty pre.

All the ppl who think suited connectors or Axs are super strong in this game fail to realise that you get 2 random cards along with those, making most of the possible outcomes complete trash

Whether this is a good game or not, it strikes me that constantly coming up with new games would be a great way to combat some problems with poker. Bots and multi-tabling nits, for starters.

Seems to be filled with NLH players who can't fold TPTK or 2 pair.
So pretty profitable if you have any idea how to play Omaha.

I play this exact format in a home game during dealers choice. It's a lot of fun and much better than unfold.
