You honestly think he did all that math in his head and then said to himself "f it, running it 4 times will get me on tv longer?"

If you have a fish in your game and he wins some money, you tell him nice job, not that he got lucky and is -EV in the game. If you're at the table with someone, everything is fair game, especially being overly nice to someone. It's not 2-faced within the context of poker, it's strategic.
So why aren't they being nice to Hellmuth?

Whoever thinks that was a slowroll needs urgent brain surgery. The reason they were saying it was a slowroll at the table was to WIND HIM UP. THEY DIDN'T ACTUALLY THINK HE WAS SLOWROLLING.

As much as I dislike PH, I think he was running it that many times so the guy could at least have some more playing time and hopefully win at least one of the hands.

Saw this on the PokerStars blog and came here to post it ... so awesome and hilarious!! Doesn't matter if PH even thought for a second that he had 10s-full ... the money is going in. The guy played his kings horribly, but the end result is hilarious!!

Phil is dejected while everyone else celebrates -- even Doyle is getting a chuckle out of it!! And the Tony G ribbing at the end was great! LOL

At the very beginning of the clip, it's noted that it's hand 61. The Loose Cannon has to be at the table for 150 hands to complete his session and keep anything over 100k.

I know he has some chance to win 2,3 or 4 times in a row, but the better EV play was to run it once. Considering he has to give back $100k, it pretty much is a lock to go for the suckout. That tells you how much TV time is worth to people.
i'm guessing you weren't a math major
