Cash pros keep the fish happy!

Instead of making the dude think about his play or feel bad, DN and crew root for him because thats what smart cash players do. PH treats the whole thing as some great conspiracy against him and in doing so makes it even clearer than ever the he does not understand that 90% of the time poker is not about a battle of wits, its about keeping the fish in the game.
Could be a good theory, but i disagree. It was obvious than Negreanu and crew wanted to pound on Hellmuth. Negreanu never loses one occasion to belittle Hellmuth. It's almost an obsession. It's starting to be creepy in fact.

It's clearly worth hating on the guy.
Any reason why his continued endorsement of UB isn't considered bad?

Apart from the genocide, I heard Pol Pot was a decent guy too.

I do have first hand information.

I worked for several years as a supervisor at the WSOP. During that time I became friendly with a number of the players, both famous and unknown. PH, the douchebag, was disliked by more players than anyone else. He was thought of as a pompous bully and a show off. He was widely reviled by the pros.

I dont post much but I could not hold back giving my 2 cents. First of all, if it were a home game or just any other non televised high stakes game, Phil Laak and Daniel would be out of line. But it IS on TV and the goal is to entertain and be funny. So Phil and Daniel KNOW that everyone at home is rooting for the suckout. PH calls people idiots and bashes them on TV more then anyone, that is fine and I have no problem with it. But when you do that you HAVE TO expect the same trash talk back. If it were Jesus or another polite player I could understand the outrage but cmon guys its PH. If anyone deserves to get made fun of its him.

Why wouldn't it look like any of the other 2 players in pots calling ranges?

What would lead Hellmuth to conclude that the flop connects with the Loose Cannons cold calling range altogether?

Thinking a flop such as 9T9 connects with 1 villains CCR, while he is holding A9, and also while 2 other players are in the hand is ridiculous. It's totally illogical.

Not to mention that Hellmuth probably has no conception of what calling ranges are, to direct a comment towards such a player who obviously would have no understanding what he means, again, would make no sense.

What would make sense, and what DID make sense, was the shared understanding that the flop had a black bored texture, like that of the Loose Cannons skin color.
Red journalism, ITT.

Oh wait, that's racist too.

Black Irish. White washed. Yellow journalism. Purple horseshoes, green clovers, and the ridiculous search of perceived insults.

Some people spend most of their lives looking for insults/affronts where they don't exist. Reminds me of the mother who protested the use of the word "*****rdly" simply because she had no idea what it meant (or the word's etymology).

Very ingenious to bring genocides in the equation. It makes total sense in this context.

Not shown until 2:00am in my area, but at least it appears to be shown (not all Fox affiliates have picked it up); you can see the schedule here:

(scroll to the bottom and pick a state)

Unlikely I'll be up that late, so I'll have to catch it on the morrow.
