This. Is. Awesome.

edit: I bet the ppl saying it's bad never played on ftp and don't realize how much more powerful the filter system is gonna be.

I think it is pretty cool but I still don't see any room for a favorites tab. :/

Kind of looks like the FTP client and Pokerstars iPhone app combined

I actually prefer the FTP-style filtering of tables to the current PS client's complicated drop down (drop up?) box

I hope it will be highly personalizable through the Settings button, so that one can add/remove tabs/features you need/don't need (like the FTP lobby screen)

looks like a cross-over between ongame and ftp.

the question is: why copy ANYTHING from ongame.

Somehow i doubt complaining in this thread will change anything. But i have to reiterate how bad i think this design is. It's an unholy abomination and whoever was in charge of designing it needs to be fired, then go back to school and learn what makes actually makes a good user interface.

I think the mini-preview of tables from the lobby is definitely something worth copying from Ongame.

It would be one thing to copy an idea here or there adding it to the current client, but they've gone full ****** and changed literally *everything*.

It's well known that that's a sure fire way to piss off your userbase and confuse the **** out of people.

But it wouldn't be so bad if it was changed for GOOD reasons. I am really struggling, from a HCI perspective, to justify anything they have done aside from displaying the account balance near the cashier button and the table preview. Everything else is a step sideways or backwards imo.

It's probably not real. That looks too awful for pokerstars to do that.

EDIT: Also why would they call it "pokerstars 7?"

(i think its probably been tailored to be best for new players, which is good, but older players would probably be better served not having to make the switch imo)
+1 to this. I have zero problems with the way the client is now so going to this does nothing good for me at all. I would also like to have the choice if at all possible.

Hahaha, if this is not fake Stars please fire whoever designed this. C'mon, this breaks about every UI design principle and we can tell that just from screenshots. God knows what awaits once myriad of clumped buttons and checkboxes are actually clicked on.

I like it. Makes the interface a lot more user friendly. FTP was awesome for that. So if they are using the FTP interface as a template for this new lobby software it's fine with me.
