I don't know the guy besides on here... but he seems to be over absorbed in himself and should probably take a few steps back to access what went wrong for him before he tries going forward again.

If it's attention he wants without any real substance to offer the public then he should just hang up the gloves as he's a dime a dozen.

A lot of people don't like Limon, and I've heard a lot of complaints about him. I think you're the first to say he's a dime a dozen. I couldn't disagree more. After they made that guy, they broke the mold.

Limon may or may not have been unreasonable in the Doug Polk 'Live at the Bike' situation- it's pretty trivial and minor imo. More importantly, Limon has been one of the sharpest, most insightful posters on this entire board- for an extended period of time.

Are the people calling him an alcoholic just basing this off the Pokersesh? I don't think his drinking there is out of control. I don't even know how drunk he is on them, I think he acts that way even without alcohol.
Obviously they picked a job where they could do it while they drink. That's a pretty sure sign they're alcoholics.

Polk with his 10,000 dollar challenge drinking, and Limon as a poker host drinking.

Right or Wrong, a sub at latb is not warranted without Limon.

He was on my ignore list for the longest time and I cringed when people quoted him. He's a dolt. Good riddance.

I'm here from 2003 and I do know what's up. He seemed like an awful troll.

He was a great asset for this forum until a couple of years ago when he stopped posting quality stuff and restricted himself to self-advertising and insulting other posters.

Maybe he has a shot at getting into the Guinness book of records for the most bans on internet platforms?

I am pretty sure that he is an alcoholic regardless of his personality.

I can never tell when I'm being leveled on 2+2.

If you mean that they took the job solely for the purpose of drinking, or they would have otherwise refused if if they couldn't drink, then yes, perhaps it's a sign.

Limon is the best. The 6 or 7 podcasts he did with Bart are gold. Easily his and Bart's best work IMO. I loved his forum posts and his LATB commentary, too.

I won't disparage other LATB hosts but regardless losing Limon is losing value IMO.

Hopefully he'll find another outlet to release content. I'd recommend YouTube. With the right content and promotion I'd bet he could get at least 20k subscribers.

Also YouTube is so large that he would not have to worry as much about offending people unlike here where people get their feelings hurt too easily or just get smitten with jealousy.

Listen, LATB was right to get rid of Limon. He was becoming unhinged. Constant angry political posts on his Twitter, unkempt and bizzare appearance, possible alcohol issues. It makes sense.

Alright let's see who the braintrust at LATB has lined up for the upcoming shows.

While I think both sides could've handled the situation better, it was only a matter of time before something really set him off like this. If it wasn't Doug, it would've been the next person who made him feel more than mildly irritated.

Watching him over the past couple of years, I never got the sense that he was a malicious person, but it became more and more apparent that he is troubled in some way. I have no frame of reference for how he was in the past, but it seems to me that he may be struggling with some kind of mental health condition. If that's the case, I truly hope that he finds the awareness to seek some kind of treatment.

he said on his last poker sesh he is done with anything to do with poker for what he can see to be the future, and that he would maybe make a golf podcast in the future
Also lol at all the ppl unsubbing to 'support' him when I am fairly sure, from his last show, that he still has a ownership % or some sort of profit sharing since he kept saying to keep your subs / subscribe to latb still

hard to know for sure though with feldman (host of latb / owner) being super quiet over it and not letting any commentators answer any limon related questions etc he got mad at someone for reading a joke about limon on air

If his behavior on LATB was not an act he should get some help.

Yes this is stupid, the real reason to unsubscribe is that their product sucks now. I'm guessing few people subbed to LATB for hard poker analysis. The main benefits of it were (1) entertainment and (2) advice on softer poker skills (how to get in good games, how to treat fish at the table, etc.). Without Limon i see no way they can fill the gap in these areas.

I get that Feldman is probably trying to move in a more serious direction but this seems like an awful business move. He's gonna have to compete with endless content from Polk, Tonka, etc. and those guys are way better players than the random 5/10 livepros LATB employs now.

There were 2k viewers tonight which is... Three times the average viewership it had with Limon. Time will tell but i seriously doubt its a bad business move.

Totally different, Polk & Tonkaaa are not even comparable.
Tonkaaa = online poker content combined with his personality and commentary which he is good at.
Polk is more focused on hand analyses and some other poker related stuff to basically promote his own business.

LATB is full blown cash session, not an edited form, you get to see everything, commentating is also on all the aspects (table dimension, history of the players etc..).
Yes they are all poker related but so so different from each other..

Then again i'm a bit nostalgic when it comes to LATB, started watching years ago with tuchman and hanson commentating.

The viewership had more to do with Sam Abernathy being in the lineup than anything, and I would speculate that there's still a buzz from last week going on. You are right though, time will tell but it will be a while before the chat calms down and stops mentioning Limon.
