The one deal that was admitted after the fact there was money left on the table
i made those rigging tables posts to ruffle your feathers. obv the table breaks/draws aren't rigged

you're right that there may have been $$$ still to play for, but obv it wasn't significant money. 50k maybe 100k

We'll never know though, it's possible they did not have a deal.
I would be happy with 4 millions but I would definitely be more stressed if I had a chance to get 8 millions more in a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Pay jumps from 9 to 3 are nothing compared to the final ones ( as expected ).
Nothing wrong with a deal btw.

There’s definitely a lot of evidence they made a deal. Just their relaxed nature compared to the super seriousness of previous years. The quick decisions and hands. The fact all of them were pumped when Jachtmann busted and seemed to all get along well.

Plus as someone here mentioned, the rails were talking deals as early as 8 handed

The ending definitely felt anti-climatic.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were no money set aside to be played for, and the only thing at stake was the title and the bracelet. If true, everybody got better than second place money.

They'd have to work it out so the winner doesn't get hosed on taxes.

Wow you got me good! I don’t believe it though lol

We don’t know but it could have been more and demeanor and plays would have been same. There is a utility function of money whereby each additional dollar means less and that definitely kicks with 6M locked up, or so I would imagine

Anyhow, I support going from 9 to 1 in one sitting. And then each person gets a chaperone so no secret meetings. Any deal is forfeit of winnings

I wonder where those 3 players ranked 1-10,043 relative to the field in terms of pre tournament ROI.

Weinman 420 1.6ish
Walton- 1700 1.2ish
Jones- 2600 1.08ish

I'm not too sure about that.
I think the fill ins for the feature table are so rigged.
Case in point Rigby, he drew into a 'fill in seat' at the feature tables way beyond the laws of probability.

Don’t blame them for chopping. Blame WSOP for having a 10th day for 3 people

Pathetic

For the players involved, a deal is obviously better.
But thinking more about it, there is something against the spirit of the game in what was displayed tonight.
The whole event is built around the amount of money up top ( let alone the emphasis with the shotgun guy).
You basically want to see a 6 M $ pot at some point. But no, everyone is cool and friendly, there is no antagonism going on, and especially no tension at all.
Imagine Djokovic and Alcaraz dealing for the Wimbledon finals ( even though the Title means more).
Making a deal for the wsop is in line with the reality and the essence of the game but makes for bad competition and tv.

Plus I guess the 3 players did not have 100% of themselves.

Does anyone know about previous deals in the Main ? ( there has to be quite some )

If the WSOP can make it all about the money by charging for viewership on PokerGo...why can't the players decide to make it all about the money & chop? If you ask me, this is karma biting the WSOP in the ass for their greed!

Chance Kornuth who'se team were coaching Jones said there was no deal. But they'd be nuts not to have made a deal.

No one in their right mind should want to play a 90bb spin n go for $8m.

we all want to see them gamble but it's their money and their lives and I would 100% make a deal if I was in their situation...and even if the $$ was 10x less

As far as the actual time of day in Vegas, this has to be the earliest the me final table has ever ended ??

I hate to break it to you but most people in the ME have all of themselves. Those guys may have swapped small pieces with friends but they willingly can put up 10k of their own money in that tournament. Its not a 50k and its soft as silk.

Pretty obvious there was a chop regardless of what the players will say. I'm sure wsop told them that if they did want to facilitate a chop privately that they keep their mouths shut.

Ultimately it hurt the product. The pressure was gone, no drama. I can't say I blame them, but the WSOP messed up by playing down to 3. It gave the players an entire day to work out the complexities of a chop. I doubt they will make the same mistake next year.

If WSOP would just make better payout structure that isn't ridiculously top heavy then that wouldn't happen. The payout structures online are stupid also.

They need to fix their set. Remember how hype old school WPT events were? This was nothing like that.
