Classic "all of the people, all of the time" dynamic at work. Also, the live streams are one helluva time commitment. As much as I enjoy seeing them, I wouldn't mind having a 30-minute cut of the final table or something.
When the edited highlight reel was the standard for televised poker, everyone complained that we only saw AIPF hands and coolers. Or maybe a player would make what appeared to be a crazy call (or crazy fold), and there would be endless grousing that we didn't get to see the many hands that created the context for the play.
This is what made Poker After Dark so appealing for many viewers when it first came out. The show marked one of the first times, if not the first time that we got to see all of the hands played.
