Maria repeatedly referring to Livshitz as a she is starting to get weird. This has been happening for at least two days. He is referred to as a man in every post and webpage I can find so unless Maria knows something that nobody else knows it's starting to get really weird.

Only just tuned in, looked at PokerNews before I did so wont say anything incase its ahead of the stream, but not many left in I am rooting for. Maria was calling Livshitz a she yesterday (multiple times). Perhaps its an attempt at a joke idk.

Weirder still is that Maria has gotten it right just often enough to suggest that she knows better. The obvious guess is that the name Gabi/Gaby threw her off at some point early in her poker media career, and her brain just still goes that way.

Of course, that doesn't explain why Maria does it when Livshitz is onscreen. One would think the visual reminder would force her to get it right. I know a guy who transitioned about 10-12 years ago. When I run into him in person, I don't think of anything else but he/him – he looks like a guy (albeit a short one), has a full beard, etc. However, if I talk about him when he's not around, I have on occasion slipped up and said "she/her." That's because in my head, I still associate his name with the girl who lived down the srreet.

But none of that explains Maria's slip-ups (slips-up?).

Several people have tweeted Maria about this yesterday and today, maybe she never saw them, all google poker references are HE, etc.

Nobody in her spot would joke about this or get insta fired after an angry mob calling for her head. lol
