The levels are 2 hours, so a break after each one seems rational. As for the 20 minutes, it's probably a relic of a necessary break length when there are thousands of players and getting to use the bathroom takes a lot of time. There are a few tourneys with fairly large fields still running, which also would put stress on shorter breaks.

Yeah, usually in the past Day 6 used to play down to 27 and then Day 7 was 27 to 9. But recently because of bigger fields Day 7 has started with 30-36 players and therefore much harder to get to 9 in one day. Last year they only got down to 10 even after a long long night.

So they built in a day 8 this year and good thing they did because we still have 49 left. The question is will they split up these two days more evenly, like 49 to 27 then 27 to 9 or have a full day today and just get as far down as possible and then have a much shorter day tomorrow.

Seems like they are opting for the latter so we may get down closer to 18 today and then have a shorter day tomorrow.
