I could give two f**ks if I lost money on Stars as a casual player. I still enjoyed the old PTR and don't care if a couple clowns berate my play.

Does PTR track Snap poker on 888?

somebody gave me Scott Fischman's book many christmasses ago and I thought his sng strategy (5bb opens in level 1 for starters) was crap so I looked him up on sharkscope and lol'd when I came to the realization that you don't have to be a winner to sell coaching/books.

Not sure what i think of this, generally speaking if someone does something strange against me I like to garnish some sort of idea as to weather its them outplaying/expoiting me or just been a total fish. EG is the strange bad play a fishy play by a bad player or part of a range merging strategy from a sophisticated player that is destroying me. its usually fairly obvious anyway but not always. been able to look up stats offers me peace of mind here or a work on your game alert etc.

So i like it from that perspective it also allows me to potentially check games to get fishier players rather then regs however thats where the problem comes in.

say Bob Smith (i thought I would alter from the Xs as use to much so not player X Bob Smith) plays poker for the first time has just started and plays cash he then gets destroyed now his stats show him as a losing player he works on his game but regs target him because he has bad stats it does not matter how much he works on games he no longer plays against semi regs or bad players its regs with years of experience every time he sits down 5 pros join his table hes done for.

HE also gets berated as well.

However should the poker sites want to alter this they always could do something similiar to the spin and go format where your registered right away eg instead of lobby with players displayed you click your stake level and it seats you on a table with seat spare automatically.

as for chat abuse could chat ban players like they already do or if serious enough a day ban from site or etc.

The downside of stats is that bad players can be berated and discouraged from playing.

The upside of stats is that the success of good players can be seen, verified and celebrated/competed with.

So why not publish the stats of players that meet a certain success threshold? Combine that with allowing anybody who specifically requests it, to have their stats also shown.

^^I think there's only a real need to have stats shown on request. Particularly successful players may not want their stats shown.

This. Although it should just be simplified into having to opt-in, like sharkscope. As someone who is beating my stakes, Id prefer other regs to not know I am winning and just assume Im a losing spazztard as Im sure other regs would too.

Doubt Pokerstars will address this as I dont think they can do anything about it besides threaten PTR, which they seem to not care about right now.
