gg is very clever, theyve created a game that is very profitable for like 4-5 players at each stake, they literally have regs competing to make GG the most amount of money. If you arent winning LB you're just playing a high rake zoom, they realize they only need a handful of high volume regs to provide game liquidity, which is the only thing regs are good for from a poker sites Pov. The regs who are winning the most form the lb arent even the most skilled players at each stake relative to other sites, but they obv earn their hourly with the sick hours they put int.

pvi is also an insane thing, you could have two players play the same 50k hands per month (i mean same exact hands), and one nets +3k and the other nets +9k purely from who has a higher pvi. you could make the argument that only players who wouldnt be winning big have high pvi's , but that's probably just not true, i imagine a large part of the gg sponsership is just adjusting your pvi + whatever free rolls they give you
