If your take was true then only the best 9 players in the world are good at poker and the rest suck.

Let's put it another way.

I bet Jennifer has won more at poker than the average $2/$5 grinder who's major source of income is poker.

How is that not a pro?
Terrible take. You really think Jen is an overall winner at poker? No way.

No your take is horribad.

Of all the times I have seen her play she has only won a handful. She is clueless about when to fold. She consistently gets it in bad. The only way she wins is late lucky double ups. Because if she plays longer she will give it back.

Now after years and years of losing, she is now maybe better than the recs and whales she plays with but she chooses to tangle with the pros who promptly eat her lunch.

At this point she is at best a small dog at poker but that is only after years of being a huge underdog.

You aren't even comparing apples to oranges. You are comparing apples to fighter planes.

Is Jennifer a winning player in the games she plays in? Does she make enough money in those games to be on the top 50/60/75% of Americans?
Winning player ? I highly doubt it but it's possible.
Pro? Absolutely not.

Even if she wins it's a rounding error compared to how much she takes in just from the Simpsons.

If someone with a normal decent job makes a few thousand a year in 1/2 nl do you think they're a pro?

Jen plays TV games where she's the obvious mark. There may exist some games where she's a winner, but the likelyhood that she's a lifetime winner at poker has be near 0.

I know this is a total donk answer, but Dnegs genuinely comes across to me as a nice, open, well-balanced dude (better still, it doesn't seem like he'd mind if I welched on a £$150,000 loan!).

If it was to pick someone else's brains about how they play and the moves they make, I'd say either Sam Trickett or Faraz Jaka. They pull off some incredible bluffs & reads....and also look like they'd be good company.

For some reason I think it would be Mike Matusow. I remember him playing around in a funny way, on the edge of crazy. Could be a nice night out. I have drunk only non-alcoholic for 5+ years, that wouldn't come in the way.

Considering how much of a winner at life she is, I'll add that nobody should care.

Funny, I read that post and got the opposite: quite good at poker, but the weakest link at the TV tables at which we tend to see her.

Sort of like being the 1,000th best basketball player in the world. Such a person barely gets a sniff of an NBA roster. Maybe an invite to training camp or something. But to say he/she "sucks at basketball" is also quite inaccurate.

lol, I expect "the edge of crazy" has long since faded in the rear view mirror for your prospective drinking buddy.

That said, wtf, why not ?

Trip report, please ?
