2-3 years (hopefully 1-2) plus probation is a good estimate. House arrest is unlikely. The feds prob won’t pick up the case bc the case is barely big enough for them to bother. If he was part of a known criminal gang or mafia, engaged in frequent violence, or engaged in additional organized illegal enterprises (cc fraud, bookmaking, arms trafficking), then the feds prob would’ve picked it up.

But based on what’s stated and also what’s not stated in the news articles, he just seems like a run of the mill weed trafficker who was ratted out by his courier. I doubt there was even a need for wiretap applications in this case and if the defendant was agreeing to rat, the police wouldn’t have released his name, pic, and so many details about the investigation. So it appears that he is not cooperating and will take the time. Unless there is a technicality that lets him off, I’d say 98% he pleads out before going to trial.

If he gets a bad roll and the prosecutors and judge don't like him and want to send a message he could spend a very long time in prison. Another poster said that they usually end up with terms on the low end, so he better hope that's the case. In New York, possession and selling are two separate crimes, both with 15 year max sentences. Also this was not some small bust so I think the DA is going to go after him hard. Not to mention the gun charges etc etc, they can destroy him if they want to, and it sounds like they do since he was running a big operation in multiple states.

Idk man, 9 grams a day is a lot more than you think. I smoke 2-3 grams a day religiously and I have a very high tolerance, but smoking 9 grams in a day would turn me into a zombie. If it was some trim or shake then yeah 9 grams is easy, but if it's potent bud no way someone can keep up a 9/g a day habit

If you only get 4 blunts out of an oz you're either dropping half your weed on the ground or you're rolling the choppiest backwoods possible
