Just a handful of days after cashing in a $3,300 buy-in poker tournament at the Borgata in Atlantic City, veteran poker player Micah Raskin found himself in hot water with authorities in New York.

According to police, Raskin is accused of possessing about 360 pounds of marijuana, worth more than $500,000 on the black market. Police announced the arrest late last week.

Ounce/week is not an accurate upper threshold. More like 1.5-2oz but that’d be tough to keep up for 60 years. I’m sure a select few (literally) have gotten to 360lbs but yea that’s a lotta reefer

If we assume a 60-year smoking span, then you would have to smoke a little more than 7 grams of pot a day forever to smoke it all.

Maybe you could do it smoking weaker, leafier Pot like your grandparents, the Hippies, smoked.

With the much stronger marijuana we have now I think it would be pretty hard to consume more than two or three grams a day for a sustained length of time without drifting off into zombieland.

My buddies that grow puff an ounce a day easy. 5 gram blunt after 5 gram blunt all day long. It's not hard to do if you have plenty of it and it doesn't cost you anything. Top shelf sh*t too, they are licensed and will be growing commercially here in Vegas in the next month or two.

I'd have a small fire pit of some sort in my house and id throw an ounce in there when needed to keep the house engulfed in smoke.

It says in the article that he is facing an 8 year max sentence but he is a first time offender. I'm just taking a wild guess. It could be something like 2 years in prison plus two years house arrest. It can get worse. If he didn't report the profits from dealing to the IRS then he will have to answer to them.

Feds can always come in later, especially if the State penalties are weak and Sessions wants to make a point about pot...

And, when it comes to pot, there are a lot of jurisdictions that don't hammer someone even if the law would have permitted it. For example, that weight in Texas would be a second degree felony, carrying a penalty of UP TO twenty years in TDCJ. However, the low end of the range is only two years, with parole eligibility coming inside of three calendar months. Granted, one is not likely to make that initial parole without hiring competent counsel, but the reality is that one could have that weight and not get much of a sentence. Lots of those sorts of cases in far north Texas with the I-40 corridor running east-west and also the I-35 corridor from south Texas on north.

In fact, as penalties go, without any history of conviction, many persons with that weight in THIS State would likely be offered a deferred disposition that, successfully completed, leaves them with no conviction at the back end of the term of supervision...

But I digress...
