People that have issue that shows DUA unemployment appears more serious and you need to call in and get fixed.

I live in nevada.There are alot of things confusing about pua. I have some questions please help me out.

Question. 1 If PUA is for people who lost their job due to covid 19 then how come uber drivers qualify ? They can still drive uber now if they want to right ?

Question 2 Is there income threshhold for qualifying ? meaning if you had made say only $5000 last year would you still qualify ?

Question 3 My provable income in 2019 are only $3000 from driving lyft(December to march) . $2000 for working at the restraunt(july to agust) and $1000 for doordash(whole year). If i apply for PUA and just say I wanted to work as a waiter in march 2020 but couldn't because all the restaurants closed would I qualify ?

If you worked as a waiter you would apply for regular Unemployment since you would be employed by a restaurant. PUA is for self-employed, gig workers, etc.

Those are good questions, I don't really know for sure. There are several good FB groups to follow and see what people are saying with all kinds of situations.

I know of a gambler in Las Vegas who did apply and they got approved. Be prepared to show your tax returns. If you owe child support..theyll glom it

Saw this on the NV FB group this morning. Hope that is all true, would mean the majority of us with these claim issues that popped up are all good and should still get paid this coming week.

Senator Mitch McConnell is threatening to discontinue Pandemic Unemployment after July.
This will be very dangerous to families that cannot return to normal work ( like poker ) until a vaccine is available.
Please write your Senators and the White House about this issue.

Anyone file in California? I have to select a Work Type, and the only choices for Gambling are Cashier, Broker, Dealer, and Monitor. I have to choose one of those and it won't let me type in anything.

My first suggestion would be to file as self employed for 2019 tax year. Use your poker winnings as self employment income. Write off your business losses Just be honest with everything. Which doesnt prevent you from being creative. There are more complex strategies available as well when you are self employed. If you dontnt have the interest in learning to take full advantage of the tax code, youd probably be better off getting your taxes done for you.

After someone got thru on the phone, it was just a code for webmaster that is working on an issue and not a problem. Maybe that is why it wasn't working for you.

She said her # was 37,000 or so. Mine is 11k or so, not going in order. Hope today or tomorrow my summary changes to sent!

I just filled out all the info, it was quick and easy. I filed for regular unemployment, not gig work. I worked at Sahara Las Vegas for a couple weeks in October and made like $1200. I also put in my dealing job from Washington that I had for years and actually made good money. I received this email. Looks like good news. Assuming I qualify for the minimum of $181 because its based off of my Sahara job. However the email is saying it doesn't have income info for me.


Now I have to file weekly claims... all the way back to February 2nd?

You are saying you filed for regular at http://ui.nv.gov/?

So log back in and i am guessing it will show ineligible now. That is why it is saying you qualify for PUA which is for people who traditionally don't qualify for regular.

If that is the case you need to go to https://www.employnv.gov/ and sign up there for PUA and if approved then you put your weekly in there.

Just check your status on the regular UI site if that is where you applied and see what is says.

I regged through EmployNV, and now doing the weekly filings there.

Ok, you should be good then. And you get $181 Plus the $600/wk that kicks in on the week starting 3/29
