Make no mistake, the level of tax fraud in all things poker is higher than every occupation except street walking prostitutes and drug dealers. It is essentially a lowlife activity, pursued by people offering zero to society. That is why poker advertisements are never from mainstream companies. They don't need your bust out lifestyles money. The exact purpose of this Cares Act money is to help those who aren't generally in the system. have you ever worked in the corporate world?

everyone is trying to scam one another and get one over on the next guy for their own personal benefit...

they just do it with a suit on and a smile on their face...

if anything card players should be lauded for their balls to just cut right to the live feed.....

the balls to just throw their money on table and **** all the bs....

most dishonest group of people in the country?

have you met people lately? do you watch the people on tv who tell us what
to do all day? do you see how the world is operating right now?

we live in a kingdom of bs

and lol at all of you talking about taxes and fraud

the whole monetary system is fradulent and the amount the peons get pales into comparison to what the big corps get

the money isn't even backed by anything ....they just run the presses non stop...

just lol at all you self righteous

Make sure you were "affected by Covid-19" for the key weeks that they add the 600, which is basically from the end of March through the end of July. If you stumble upon this thread later in the year, and they have not extended the 600, you will still get back pay, but you will only get the 600 for those weeks between late March and late July. That is low five figures that you need to make sure you snag.

If you are unsure how to fill out the form, spend the time to get your game plan so you get accepted. If you know anybody who has never worked, never paid a dollar in taxes, and otherwise would have zero chance of ever getting unemployment, then I have good news for them...they will get approved, and my calculations show that this is essentially 17K-ish of free money over the 39 weeks. There may be an opportunity to help others, including homeless, who could use a break in life, and absolutely have no idea this money is sitting there waiting to be picked up. There may even be an opportunity to help some people from start to finish, and say: "I am going to show you how to get this free money without even having to tell a falsehood, and if you want to throw me a bone when you get paid, then you can do so". I've been making sure I have a conversation with every hard luck person I see. I quickly explain the deal, show them the website, and wish them luck. There won't ever be another time in history where you can get money like this just my logging into a site and answering a few questions. Don't waste the opportunity.

P.S. if you ever log in to make a post, press submit, then get that sinking feeling because you have been automatically logged out and your post has disappeared, do not panic. How would any poker player who havent filed for 2018 & 2019 tax get approved for unemployment/PUA? Do you know if you have to apply for taxes if you had a break-even year? I am self employed but most of 2019 I was working on an online business that failed and I had lost a good bit of my BR in that venture and now I cannot play poker or go into ecommerce (everything is made in china and it is tough to do business there right now) because of this pandemic..

Any suggestions is very much appreciated!

Unless I'm just completely missing something, with all the "Homeless have a shot at PUA" etc... You have to have filed in 2019

I mean, I had to upload a copy of my Schedule C and 1099

Quite a claim. Please provide your evidence that professionals who file their taxes as poker players (S/E Schedule C or S-Corp papers, either works) are guilty of fraud?

My wife and 2 kids would disagree with both on being a lowlife and offering zero to society. I’ll be sure to ask them again next week when we go to Hilton Head for our annual summer vacation. When our families get together for Friday night cookouts in the neighborhood there are two types of guys in attendance. The ones who are envious of what we do (w/o fully understanding the grind) and guys like you. Not worrying about pleasing everyone is a requisite to this occupation.

Define what “Aren’t in the system?” means. Hey, if a homeless person can provide his Schedule C or S-Corp papers documenting their income then yes, they would be eligible. Unfortunately for them, and for your baseless claim, they would not have the documents required to be approved for PUA or any other form of UI.

Please feel free to continue humiliating me as I’ll be returning to the home I own once I pick up an iced latte at Starbucks in my Lexus.

Interesting. I was regularly employed for years, paid taxes last year, but haven't been employed since October.

If someone could get set this up for me Id happily ship $500 through PayPal. And that's upon approval, not upon receipt of first payment.

In one way or another it sounds like you qualify. What state are you in?

I know this is a thread about PUA unemployment but wanted to share the fact that I just successfully applied for a PPP loan as a self employed person (professional gambler) that files a Schedule C.

This is a Paycheck Protection Program but also covers independent contractors and the self employed. The maximum amount you can receive is 2.5 months worth of income or salary up to income of $100k a year max.

Take your 2019 Schedule C line 31 amount and divide by 12, then multiply by 2.5. Yields $20,833 if income over $100k. It appears as though some if not all of this may be forgiven, and unlike unemployment you dont have to pay income tax on it. And even if not forgiven in whole, it seems like a freeroll as the loan is 1% for two years with a six month deferral in the beginning. IF you havent filed for 2019 you simply make a Schedule C for 2019.

Small caveat is that if you receive this loan you cannot continue to collect unemployment benefits. They just distributed the rules about forgiveness and it would seem that the loan may be forgiven entirely.

I applied here:https://www.kabbage.com/paycheck-pro...program-loans/

Go to https://www.employnv.gov/

The site might be down now tho. Shutdown for upgrade now thru tomorrow 8am.

So might do it then. Click File a PUA Claim and answer the questions. If approved you can start submitting weekly claims and back date all the way to mid February I believe but most impacted around mid March when shut downs happened.

The weekly is based off 4% of your highest earning quarter from 2019, helps to have tax return for 2019 to submit. Then you will get the bonus $600 per week added on.

$181 min. and $469 max per week plus the $600. If you don't have proof of income you will still get the $181/wk plus the $600/wk.

Payouts are supposed to start on this coming Wednesday. Let me know when you are ready for my paypal address.

Probably a stupid question but what if you weren't working in 2019, what is the 4% based off of then?

Ive been calling the NV detr unemployment and attempting to use the website for months while still unable to get through to talk to anyone and wondering if i should just go through this route/other page instead.

Weekly filing is open now, If you have not applied yet, just do it and answer the questions.
I believe even if you didn't work last year you get the min $181/wk plus the $600 a week back dated to Mid may when shutdowns happened.

Great, I just entered in a weekly filing for all the past weeks and now it shows unresolved issues on my claim, but its not just me its most everyone in the facebook unemployment group I follow.

Hopefully it is just a weird glitch that means nothing and payments still go out Wednesday.
