well my entire claim has disappeared from the nevada PUA website

my weekly certifications page is still there with the weeks ive certified for with zeros next to the weeks...no money in bank yet

when i try to click 'start a new claim' it says i have a claim already

but when i try to view my claim it just brings a generic landing page explaining the program and if i want to start a new claim....just an endless loop

I also got paid a few days! Everything since mid march and even after the initial lump sum they sent the next weeks pay claim separately and it appears/hoping ill be getting that amount weekly from now on. I filed my claim based off the jobs i had recently started right before shutdown though and not as self employed or poker player so not sure if that made a difference but still cant believe it finally came through, ill drink to that!

any pro poker players from ohio that have done this? i had assumed only the stimulus applied to us. if i havnt filed is it too late for these helicopter moneys?

Las Vegas is hurting more than any other city. Usually it bounces back even stronger after every recession, but I cant see that happening this time. Unfortunately I think Nevada is really ****ed going forward

anyone taken the option to have th taxes withheld from payments and now about how much gets taken?

I haven't been paid yet but its 10% if you elect for them to take taxes.

and anyone gotten payout without submitting the 2019 or 2018 tax return. ive seen some states labors faqs saying you need to submit within 21 days of applying but can still get the basic payment without (600+state minimum)

It is not to late to file for PUA.

Massachusetts did not require the actual returns. I believe they only asked for one particular line, I believe Adjusted Gross Income.

I need some advice because things are going to get desperate for me pretty quick.

I lived in Vegas from april 2018 to august 2019, playing poker full time. I moved back to Georgia in August 2019.

I filed for unemployment in Georgia in late April as self employed. In late May I got my PUA benefits determination letter showing what I am eligible to receive if approved.

Thats the thing.....it is now late June an approval/disapproval on my claim has not been made. Its just not me....I have friends that are in the exact same boat and have read of similar experiences on reddit and twitter. This past week I got another benefits determination letter for sime unknown reason (others did as well),exactly the same as the original, but Im worried that this has pushed me further back in line.

I filed for unemployment in Georgia because a. I live there and b. at the time I filed you couldnt file in Nevada as self employed because the system had not been set up.

So here is my question. Should I just abandon my hopes of getting money from Georgia and file in Nevada? The income used in my determination will have been made in Nevada in 2019, if that makes any difference. Will it screw things up in Nevada since I have an open pending claim in Georgia? I read in this thread somebody got their money from Nevada in TWO WEEKS! I have been waiting for TWO MONTHS in Georgia with no end in sight.

I thought I was being smart by filing in Georgia and not waitin for Nevada to get their system set up....I am beyond second guessing myself at this point. Advice appreciated.

i filed in mid may in Nevada and have had no movement on my claim

been filing weekly on the PUA site like it says

last week my claim disappeared but i was still able to file weekly benefits

today i log in and they want me to do the whole application over again to 'clarify things'

so here i am again spending my Sunday gathering documents from the over 20 companies ive worked for in 2019 filling out the employer info one by one again

what a ****ing joke of a state this is.....

i just said **** it and just entered my quarterly earnings and attached documents..

left the work history blank and said i filled it all out in may you must have it somewhere....

unable to file today for last week as it looks like i now have a new application...even though the new app i just filled out had some of my info saved

the past weeks ive certified for are there also....

so now i guess im back at the bottom of the list haha......its almost July i guess we shoudn't be too impatient....

im reallly glad im a saver cause broke people must be losing their ****ing minds right now

the ohio pua tool only allows you to set the effective date 1 week prior to your filing. was this the same for other states? do you still get the backdated weeks/ money since first available? also was only ale to certify this most recent week, but nothing going back to january/march.

I am not giving any advice per se but filing in a state where you didn’t work isn’t smart. It’s unethical for one and for two, it sets you up for failure as GA shouldn’t approve you based on your income being from Nevada.

If I were in your position I would find out how to remove your GA application and then file in NV.

This is strange. In my filing I was able to specify a particular date which was about 5-6 weeks prior to filing. I would try and contact someone in your state unemployment office for guidance.

Then why did the GA DOL rep tell me it is my choice where to file?

Lol at it being unethical. If i put on my app where i worked and how much i made, how exactly is that unethical?

And I have worked in GA. It is just that the quarters they use to determine my benefits will be 2 quarters from Nevada.

In any case I got in touch with GA DOL customer service the other day and they told me that my app has been assigned for someone to review. So at this point since I am so far along in the process I am just letting things play out.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I read your “the income used for my determination was NV” to mean that was the state where all of your income was earned. This makes sense now. Not much else to do but wait and follow up in this case.

I did not submit my tax returns, but I have an EIN and posted my poker log from 2019 on May 17th. I got approved in mid June and get $419 per week from state and $600 more for PUA. Got 12k the 1st time backdated and 1k a week since. PUA runs out in 3 weeks, but state will go on for 39 total week till Dec 31. But I do file all my poker wins for the last decade(s) so I am one of few who do so.

I know another poker player who has not paid taxes in 4 years, owes the IRS money and posted no income from last year and he got approved for state min. of $181 a week plus the $600 PUA!
