Absolute BULL. The people who have worked this ENTIRE quarantine/pandemic should be getting $500 a week+ and only them. Paying people to go back to work when they've been able to take a 3 month vacation staying home making even more then usual is pathetic.
Your right. The whole system is ****ed. At the bare minimum they should just give the money to everyone if they are going to do what they are doing. Trying to show some fiscal responsibility by cutting people out is stupid considering the people cut out are a very low %. Pretty sure they essentially do that just to make the people who get it feel extra special.

If you make a living as a gig worker and poker player why are you ranting about not being eligible for unemployment? This entire thread is dedicated to showing how people who fit your criteria ARE eligible and ARE receiving their weekly benefits.

Theoretically they ARE receiving their weekly benefits. I still have not. They owe me a main event buy in. They just confirmed everything is good with my claim. Just have to wait to be processed.

Wednesday they released stats that showed only 20% of PUA claims have been paid so far.

But soon, we will have to start putting in 4 or 5 job applications a week, not sure the exact number. For now its all waived.

ive filed and dont see why i wouldnt qualify and just waiting on approval due to some pending flags or whatever and when i added it up yeah it will be about ten k right off the bat....

i just cant imagine them coming through like that but apparently its happening for a few....

i see a lot of partial payments and trickling in of payments.....i bet a lot of people will be shorted....

i would assume they have to get these processed by the end of the month due to june 30 being the end of the rent moratorium....

i cant see them kicking people out who have filed and have no response.....some people have filed regular unemployment as far back and March and still havent heard a word...

They are making headway in NV. I had 3 of the common outstanding issues that most people had that were rumored to be just glitches, and they all came off in the last week. I even called in and got someone on the phone today and she verified I am all good and just waiting on the processing of payment. I am thinking for sure in the next 7 or 8 days I will get it all. More likely sooner.

I hope they don't screw you guys over. Seems shady. I'm in canada and ik people started getting paid 3-4 days after their application like clock work. But it's in Canadian currency so there's that

They are finally getting some done. Like Parison my 3 issues fell off by themselves Tuesday and within 2 hours numbers were filled in, and my funds hit this morning. I have no clue how they decide which claim to pay first, my actual # was 400. I heard claim #, beginning of claim date, the ones who get the minimum, who knows. This whole mess could have been avoided as the PUA is a government program and was to be rolled out nationally but Piglosi and the house democrats threw a hissy fit and demanded that each state manage it themselves.

Which number did you call, the main DETR line?

No, you have to call PUA, but they started the new adjudication line on June 1st 1-800-603-9682 , but you will never get thru there its too busy. People on FB said to call the original PUA and they can help you also. 1-800-603-9681 , I got thru the 1st time I tried, late afternoon tho. Still 30 minute or so hold.

Yes I understand Nevada is really struggling with executing the PUA program. It should have read that people are being approved in Nevada and paid everywhere else.

Lots of entitlement in here. I'm all for unemployment benefits but only if you been working full time and got laid off for no specific reasons and have been filing taxes... and are currently applying for jobs.

People always looking for a free ride. Crazy times

ill never understand these posts

what the corporations get and what the banks get is the epitome of entitlement

but nobody every speaks up about that

what us plebs get are the scraps

like '08 the bailout bill, this CARES act has enough cash to give each household about 60K.....but it's not...its going to companies and banks again that never have to worry about going bankrupt...never have to worry about running out of funds...unlike 99.9 percent of families here in America

a free ride?

the banks and large corps are getting the free ride in a ****ing rolls royce.....we are hoping to get a reduced fare on the bus

I am 11xxx and still nothing today showing payment has been initiated. I don't know if that is what they go by anyway, it might be your claim effective date(out of work the longest get paid 1st), or some other random thing.

My eff date is 2/23 and it says No outstanding claim issues. However, above that it says Unresolved Issues Yes

Does your say the same? Just hoping I all have to do is wait. Cheers

Yes, that is mine too. No outstanding(now that they cleared them a few days ago, without me calling) and Unresolved says Yes, but everyone's says that.

It looks like Tuesday we might get paid.

Entitlement?

How is a full-time poker professional who filed tax returns as such and had his business shut down by the government any different than a clerical worker who filed taxes as such and had their business shut down by the government?
