This will be my first WSOP. I told them thank you for the oppurtunity but I am going for the Youngest Bracelet Holder and I can not. They asked me for some names who I thought would be interesting. I told them that the poker community wants someone respectable and who will represent us well. Not like the random guy who was on "Unanimous" years ago who didnt have any cashes. I gave them a couple of names. I gave them some names of guys who I thought would be up for it. I gave them Durrrr, Bond18,Shaundeeb, AJKHoosiers and a couple other guys info. They told me it was a Hit N Miss with Bellande a couple years ago and they want a young guy who is exciting, smart, and would be into the oppurtunity. They told me the PPA gave them my info, so im assuming they contacted others. Wonder who it is gonna be cause it sounded like they were going for a certain demographic with this. Fingers crossed, especially with the exposure it would bring.
you should also send them the link to 2+2 and tell them to follow some of the recommendations/players mentioned on this board...although many posts will be a joke, some might be helpful

the two clowns together might be good for TV: Esfandiari/Laak...

Somebody mentioned Jamie Gold. I agree that Gold possesses the social skill set that would thrive on survivor. Pure duplicity... shameless to a degree. This would probably be enough to get to the final 3 but based on the past few seasons it doesn't matter how much you outwit and outplay people strategically the bitter and resentful jurors will vote for some nice floater to win the million. They vote for the person that got there without stepping on anyone's toes (in other words, did almost nothing strategically).

guess it makes sense in this game more than others that you hold resentment for those that outted you after soooo many days, smelling like sht (well no showers anyway), sleeping in tents, no regular food, tortuous immunity events, living like 18th century, etc

Then after dreams of 1 Million are crushed, plus all these indecencies, hard to blame those that don't forget.

Rough Game

blitz, cts, ashman, and huck would be awesome choices. there are so many more i'm forgetting though. jamie gold wouldn't be bad thinking about it actually.

I would watch every minute of every episode for the first time if Phil Hellmuth were a contestant, hoping for the moment when one of the other players stuck a rotten stick in his azz

Well, like I said, I have sent in 2 auditions, and been to 5 open calls.

Why do I think I'd win? I was in the Navy for 11 years, went to three different survival schools, (including Antarctic), am a certified scuba instructor, and play a little poker. Last season I caught a limit of lobsters every time I went out, and the year before I caught a 13 pounder.

My tribe would be the first to GAIN weight while on the island.

I worked for three years as a marine engineer, so I can make anything out of...well, pretty much anything.

I'll go to the next tryout. Sooner or later they will take me.

if you will make final cast feel free to make a topic in ootv about optimal strategy because there are many guys who watched survivor religiously for years nd they can give you good advice
05-22-2010 , 11:16 AM
Havad Kahn, he would annoy the hell out of everyone
05-22-2010 , 01:38 PM
Phil Laak ftw

Watched every season and would give my left nut to be on the show

Think I would do quite well too, with some fishing/hunting background, somewhat intelligent, not socially awkward, relatively athletic (not beast enough to dominate like James, but definitely wont fail).

Lol my story would be awfffffulllll like "Successful student drops out of school to play poker professionally, only to learn he is miserable and goes back to school!"

If only I was bigtime and well known

**Update**- Going for my physical in an hour. Some pretty demanding things. Pretty sure though if some of the larger contestants can do it; I can to. One of the producers, called me today and told me the schedule for filming. So I will only be playing the 50k, if I get on. Also, im sure alotta you are wondering who I am. Earlier it was a level I am not 21. I said that because I was in the midst of the finalizing period of a deal with a poker site which fell through, so therefore I would of had to represent them at WSOP. And I told one of my good friends (A Player) about it before i knew I could not. The deal is no more. I will give you guys an age range though I aint old. And I am primarily a online guy but I play some live not great results in live. But I have good online results. And they told me I wont be able to tell any of you guys who I am even if I get cast. So yall will have to read the spoilers or wait till they release cast info. I get a disadvantage, because I am apparently the last person to interview and they interviewed everyone else at the same hotel. So im sure they saw eachother. I learned another interesting fact; when I fly out I will be on the island for a couple weeks and wont be able to talk to the other players even if I see them. No words. I have already thought up a strategy and am hoping for a Russell effect behind the fans. Will update you guys as the process continues.

Esfandiari would be a good choice.
