I think everyone needs to just chill the **** out and let the man live.
If he is paying back his debt, as well as being able to play for a living again, I for one and happy for him.
The gossip in poker is so ****ing trivial now, everyone on the message boards just digging deep into any old thread, cause nothing to talk about anymore. For the last year it was only name calling and crybaby FTP stuff, now its digging in the crates and re bumping threads as long the tiniest shred of player info involved in the thread is ready to post.

On a side note Brad Booth did a smart thing with his apology and his instant messaging to dozens of people on this forum (including me)....as far as public opinion goes. Playing in high limit room with huge chip stack is REALLY lame if he still owes the OP sizable money and has not paid much lately.

People who give him credit for paying back the debt should just take a step back. He is playing poker the thing he wants/dreams/loves to do anyway. It is not like he got a job on a loading dock for nine months to pay off his debt. Basically the OP is at the mercy of Brad Booths ability to raise cash to play and run good.

One last point, if he still owes a ton of dough to OP why not sit down in a typical 2-5 or even 5-10 game just to grind up some payment money to OP. He has to be a major favorite in this type of game and he could actually grind and work to pay off OP. Not hope to luck box a session or two vs the big guys in Iveys or Bobbys room.

Lets be clear, that may be his stack but it's obv not his money. He wasn't even on his own dime back when he was on HSP, back when people thought he was good.

There may be some validity to this point, muckraking is what we do when not playing. It's the schadenfruede aspect. But, the thing that I think gets people sideways is when someone borrows from you and doesnt' have the curtesy to say hey, I can't pay. In my work, people get into me for significant sums and I realize there is an aspect of fault I am responsible for, should've gotten the money up front or taken security or whatever. But when someone doesnt even bring a $10 payment or an apology or keep you updated, then your time is wasted. It's not just the loss of the money, it's the time and frustration involved with chasing someone around. Anyways< I think some of the hate comes from the fact that a lot of us have been here before.

i know that having people beatdown for not paying debts doesn't really solve the problems associated with said unpaid debt for many reasons but i have to say I'm surprised it doesn't happen way more than it does, just a minor observation-especially when many of these guys just walk around in public like nothing is going on

Dont see how brad should be paying the full amt as wcg basically looked at this as an opprotunity to sell it at full rate when funds werent full amt. Not only is wcg seem to be an attention seeker, he also tricked brad booth. Everyone would sell lock funds at 100 percent rate if they could.

It certainly is allowed! Just asked, people have been rushing post counts on accounts before in order to get some "credibility"(lol) in like tradeforums etc where they do not ship their amount after recieved the others ends first. Just me being sceptic, but if any sort of angle isnt your intent you are not in the wrong at all and being offended is just but if you are just a happy poster you will my reasoning so in the end no harm done imo
