They also wanted me to activate my camera and submit a "live" likeness via their app. I received a message saying it might be a day or more to verify my identity, but in fact within an hour I received an email saying it had been verified.

So say a site raises the rake 10-20% (this happened we all know why im not going into it maybe they might lower it when gg comes over) what I am curious is do you think its fair to raise everygame the same %? Because not all games are equal games like plo and shortdeck equity's run alot closer so you rake more per hand or dollar you win. also the average pot is like 4x -6x then in holdem

also keep in mind this is headsup where the cap is the smallest in a 6 max the rake is going to be alot more. 20bb/100 is going to be really hard for most people to beat and when the rake gets so high that its unbeatable I dont think it should be increased. no? Can someone help me bring this to pokerstars but its going to completely kill shortdeck probably the guys sitting down are just drawing dead from the start.

In other news there's literally 2-3 regular tables running at 10 NL (6 player max) at party poker at 6:30 pm, and then it goes straight to 50 NL (25 NL games are eliminated). Yes, this "regulated" market it's clearly good for us living in Ontario. More options and a bigger player pool it's always in our best interest, and as long as provinces and countries bring rules and regulations that go against our interest it's never going to end well.

Countries are meant to bring rules and regulations that improve the quality of life of its citizens, and the moment that doesn't happen it's just a matter of time when something a lot worse will follow, before things go back to how they used to be, or should I say "better".

If your doing a bank transfer just send them a copy of your bank statement. With the account you’re verifying and your name.

I'm not sure tbh. I sent a pdf of my bank statement and was worried it didn't have all the info like swift codes and what not on it. It was accepted but I've also done withdrawals before to that account.

So maybe just send a copy of your bank statement and see if it's accepted?

Ya, those rake %’s are absolutely ****ed and online poker is pretty much officially a disgrace now. Only way it will change is if there are no games played. 20-ish bb/100 is seriously disgraceful and unbeatable for close to everybody. Not an exaggeration.

From all the recs in chat I keep hearing them complain about everything, however they all mention the fact that they don't have to play against Brazilians anymore lol.

Do you guys think this is bringing out players that feel more comfortable in a fenced pool? PS was busy tonight

I'm not 100% this is a concern for many people in 2022 (versus, say, 2007 or w/e). It's just very common for us to transfer money, make purchases, etc. online these days. Maybe there are a handful of older people that feel more comfortable.

I do think games have been quite soft and will continue to be. It's pretty impossible to grind 25nl/50nl/100nl and live off of 1k/mo in Ontario. As a result a lot of meh regs moved on to other ventures in recent years and the result now is a player pool comprised of i) pretty good regulars, and ii) fun players (of which there are still a decent amount, there's a lot of money in this province!), w/ very few people falling in that area between the two.

As long as rake remains reasonable and some rakeback is there I expect the regulars to make decent money and the fun players - due to the healthier fish:reg ratio at the tables - seeing their deposits last longer, enjoyment increase, etc.

You really only got ****ed if you're a good MTT reg or a good mid-HS cash player
