I'm having same issue in Ottawa. MacBook not working. Verified I have location services enabled for PokerStars and it won't work. I tried to download the app on my phone, and that works no problem connected to the same wifi. Not sure if you're on Mac, but maybe it's a bug with the Mac software that the location service isn't working properly? I've logged a ticket with support, but haven't heard back yet.

You were able to change your 888 SN? Did you play frequently on 888 ROW prior?

I did yes. It actually asked me to enter a new nickname when I was switching my account to Ontario. Just migrated on stars and they didn't offer that.

But yes, I think it would be reasonable of the sites to get together and move up the start times for the Sunday tournament to the mid-afternoon (at least)...humble brag incoming, but I played some Sundays MTTs a few weeks back and won a tournament on Party where my opponent HU sat out/blinded out b/c I assume they had to get up to go to work the next AM (tournament ended at 1/1:30am)
Ya, I worded that stupidly lol. I'd just prefer the usual 1:00 est start times to have em end earlier.

I logged in around 1 pm no problem. (Except for lack of game choice and immediately losing 2bi in the only Omaha table running ...)

When I tried to log back in later I got a notice that I had to confirm my personal info. Which I did. The website let me log in briefly -- then told me I had to upload photo id. I sent them a pic of my DL. It was acknowledged and I was was told I had to send a live photo of myself. I did. I was then messaged that it might take a day or more to verify my documents. Moments later I was asked for photo id again, so I sent in a pic of my national id card. Message said I should wait for verification ...

Yeah its not ideal, but I was just playing 4 tables of 50plo and 100plo and tournaments were running. There 3-4 NLHE games running in every limit that was running prior to the 28th. I think you could still play a good amount of volume on PS.

As far as options go, I do plan to head back west to BC, not solely for poker though but it'll work out. There is always GG/Bodog/WPN skins you can still play on without a VPN. We adapt and overcome

Thanks to everyone that voted for that fat bastard ford.

Just played roughly 300 hands of 50nl. Literally plays like 10nl on the international pool, maybe even softer.

Yup games seem soft.

Also they asked me to confirm my personal info the second time I logged in.

erg I hope they have some good promos the rake increase has made some games like short deck unbeatable games that were already high rake. I raked 28bb/100 today mostly headsup. 6 handed it would be like 40bb/100 lol.

It's funny how so many people are pissed that we got fenced like they were crushing international pool. Since black friday Canada been the biggest contributor to poker economy feeding all eastern European regs. Now anyone here in Ontario who was beating nl25 on stars previously can probably get same winrate on nl100 in fenced environment.

Stop this delusion like you are missing out, wake the f up. You just got infinite EV.

I'm a rec player and only play MTTs, so I obviously have no plans to move but I am disappointed that the dream of the big score is dead. It just requires a mindset shift - replacing the potential infrequent big score with more frequent small cashes. Which might be a good thing for me since I seem to run like crap and can't hit a big score anyway Poker In Ontario

What stakes were you playing? (I'm wondering if I was one of those you refer to!)

I'm curious if I moved to a different province or country what would happen when I would want to access these networks like Stars and Party?

You are right, in terms of PLO I'm still waiting to see if the games run consistently and if I can clear the challenges with decreased volume. God I hope they don't take away challenges.

I'm mostly at the 100 tables.

On a side note challenges aren't going anywhere right guys? If they take those away I'm probably gonna piece out.

It's honestly perfect now that we play in Canadian currency I can move up what is essentially half a stake now and play plo75 usd

Yes, with the low traffic and no zoom available complete challenges would be impossible, I read how stars will introduce double points for July and August, which equals to around 40% rakeback, but the fact it's not a permanent thing it's why I can't consider stars my permanent home for online poker. I'm still curious how would be possible to play on the international party/stars client if we already switched to Ontario and played from elsewhere.

Is anyone else having problems being verified for the new PS Ontario? I have no idea how to complete the 'liveness' part of the verification process. Also, can you still use PT4 and a Hud while playing on the new PS Ont, the TOS have not been updated and I can't find that info on the website, thanks!
