Let's welcome The Grid Podcast with Jennifer Shahade. My understanding is that Jennifer does things a little different from some of the other poker podcasts and that's it's also a very good show.
All you need to know is, "Once a combo is taken...it's GONE!"
I love this podcast, seriously. Jen, you're a great host. Great interviews, stories, and poker strategy. Favs so far have to be Kerstetter's story with aces and Nick Shulman's epic story playing in the NY homegame.
What's the name of the theme song, Jen, and why did you pick it? It gets in my head every episode.
How many years do you think it will take to finish this thing?
Yay!!! This is so great because Jen’s pods are so dense with the good stuff, this thread will be so awesome to discuss all the great guests! I especially loved the episodes with Dvoress and Soheb!

Thank you! And for mentioning Jamie's episode, another personal fave:
I think it's gonna take about four more years to finish. Possibly we'll try something different to finish it off, like a live meet-up with prizes for winning specific hands.
Hey Jen, definitely gonna check this out, I hadn't seen it before. One thing I noticed is that your HTML is a little wonky in the first post, so you can't click the link (at least on Firefox your href is pointing to <b>...</b> for some reason ).

Episode 45 with Fintan "EasywithAces" Hand is now up on https://thepokergrid.com/ and all our usual platforms! He talks about two pivotal hands at Final Tables in the Irish Open and SCOOP respectively, both with ace-ten offsuit. We get into advice for poker streamers in a saturated market, why he's gotten so into chess and his work on ICM.
New episode is live with Michael Acevedo. This may be my all time favorite so far as ties into my original impetus for creating the podcast. Michael doesn't talk about his own hand, but a HH with eight-deuce off that changed his life. He was invited as a special one-time guest to a study group which included Apestyles, Stevie Chidwick and Elio Fox. His instinctual response to a high stakes turbo SNG hand ended up netting him a permanent invite to the group.
Had a really fun episode with Kelly Minkin on a fun hand with king-eight offsuit at the World Series of Poker.
I watched this hand live and was inspired. Really enjoyed her thoughts on how she uses poker thinking in her law practice, and how deeply embedded her confidence is.
I love this podcast, just came across it a few months ago. I'm curious about the book Peter Svidler mentioned in episode 15 (I know, nearly a year ago) ... at 43:20, he mentions the "umbrage book"? For the life of me I cannot understand what book he mentions.

I believe that Svidler is saying "the Andrew Brokos book" which would, I imagine, be the one called "Playing Optimal Poker", although there is also a sequel now. Brokos also has a poker podcast calling "Thinking Poker" which isn't half bad!
