I saw her name late in day 1 in the wsop NL $3000 tournament, looked like she was still in then. Not sure if she made day 2. Too lazy to check.

She busted the 3k and then played the 1k freezeout and busted that. Based on her bustout hand why would anyone take a piece of her in a tournament?

From Pokernews

Action was picked up on a board {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} in a heads-up pot, with Paulina Loeliger being all in for her last 36,000. Her opponent thought about it for a minute and eventually called.

Loeliger revealed {8-Spades}{2-Spades} and got eliminated from the event after her opponent tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

The classic turning bottom pair into a bluff! I'm sure that will be PIO approved!

Would also be interesting to see what happened pre flop. Must have been the guy with KK is going for a limp reraise and she checked the BB as it seems strange that she would even be in the hand with 82s

Yeah I wish we knew the preflop action. But she definitely got very aggro with 82ss lol. I mean lose to a flip or a draw that's one thing. Shoving all in with 82ss? Um terrible.

i assume she defended BB and c/r the flop and barreled off, which i think is fine. if thats not the case then maybe it was an awful punt.

considering the amount of time you spend in nvg EastCoast, my guess is that PB is better at NL than you. in before you accuse me of white knighting

So is it your opinion that no top players have busted a big buyin tournament with a bad preflop hand?

People are so blindingly results-oriented. If this hand was televised and the guy folds, everyone would bleat OMG HOW DO YOU FOLD KINGS THERE, but if Bunny has a set and guy pays off, same exact doofuses OMG HOW DO YOU STACK OFF ONE PAIR THERE.

Same thing, if one of the heroes does this and guy folds, everyone is like WOW SICK BLUFF SWEET but here since villain calls, the player and the play are both obviously horribad.

My point is she has literally no results. She however wanted or maybe still wants people to take pieces of her or flat out stake her in big buyin tournaments. When you are calling raises with 82ss(and who knows how much the preflop raise was) and then proceed to lose her whole 30bb stack with it trying to bluff, I just think it's bad play. I see your point though too.
