No it would not have been, and that is not what I am saying either. What I am saying is that if if the player asks the dealer to show the "next card" instead of not doing so, or does almost literally anything else at all, then everything that follows will be different. The not-by-then-PRE-SET-things (a pre set thing would be the deck of card already in the hands of the dealer which is already fixed and won't change at that moment).

It will be the same river card of course (I know you're leveling with your statement). However, the next hand dealt will not be the same hand as if he had not asked. This shouldn't even be hard to grasp.
I see what you are saying. I missed "pre-set" vs. "not pre-set". What lies behind Door #2 in "Price is Right" is pre-set. If I fold 8-3 pre-flop only to see a flop of 338 (also pre-set) I might feel a little disheartened.

I hit a pretty sick bad beat jackpot for 150 dollars down at the hard rock in Tampa. There used to be a fun game in Vegas called trash talk tuesdays where they had some pretty good bad beat rewards. Super easy to qualify.
