I hear you. He seems like kind of a tool. But it's never explained why he was asked to leave in the first instance.

Look, if I were asked to leave a casino, I would, and I'd be scrupulously polite and tone-aware about it.

you don't see any injustice b/c there isn't any. LOL at the posters suggesting otherwise.

In related news, a player by the name of Vincent Adultman is making a deep run with a similar stack!

I actually thought it was terrible as I wrote it. Definitely a Dad joke.

Its mildly interesting that his entry is not refunded and belongs to the pool. I mean i understand it technically bc several conflicts would arise otherwise but still interesting.

Is this how it works with other forms of gambling at a casino? (You've currently run up $10k in roulette and casino recognizes your are banned...security comes and escorts you out...are your chips confiscated?)

I realize thats an apples and oranges comparison but im genuinley curious. I tried google for approx. 30 seconds and gave up fwiw.

I wonder what happens to the mincash plus a bit his chips will blind to if his entry's staying in the pool. Surely the casino getting it would be a conflict of interest/wrong, does he get it (i assume not? but shouldnt he be refunded if not? i have no idea otherwise casinos have a freeroll letting banned players gamble then can swoop in if they win only). Does the Nevada Gaming Commission get it? I have no idea.

Obviously a ridiculous idea to enter an event at a casino you're banned from, who knows what he was thinking, if it wasn't detected somehow and he won the main event then what, nobody's going to notice?

His chips were taken out of play, so he can't blind out into a mincash.

They should do whatever they would do if they disqualified a player for punching the dealer.

I wonder if the OP would have made this thread if villain had 600 chips rather than 600,000

Same logic with playing at online poker sites where you were previously banned, if caught you risk confiscation of funds. He tried to pull the wool over the casinos eyes and karma took care of him.

Not defending the guy at all, but I wonder if an attorney would be able to argue to at least get his buyin back. Player could claim he thought he was only banned at 1 casino, not company wide or whatever, and also, when you register you have to show an ID like a Drivers License in addition to a Players Card, so there might be an argument that because he was able to register with his ID that yada yada yada........

Aaaaaand it's gone.

Hardly a fake name if you just include your middle name or omit it as was mentioned earlier. If it was an actual fake name then lolz

I recently received a similar ban from Bally's (though it wasn't gaming related...I wrote a thread about it on LVL). On the day I was evicted, I was told I was banned only from the nine CET properties in Vegas. I even went to a Harrah's in another state a few days later without incident.

But about a week later, I had my Total Rewards account suspended. A week after that, I received a letter by certified mail telling me I was banned from all Ceasers properties. The letter includes the line "Further, should your presence at any Caesars property go undetected in the future, any money you win through gaming, including jackpots, may be forfeited".

So I have to imagine this guy was well-informed of the scope of his ban and the consequences of trying to evade it.

Looks like one reason he acted this way is it seems really unlikely they would lift the ban even if he never came back and never caused any trouble anywhere for the rest of his life. People get banned and harshly punished for a lot of minor stuff.

Surprised he did this though because it's not like he kept it a secret when he was banned. He was telling people about it and complaining. So I'm not surprised if someone snitched.

How did they find out it was him? Nobody had cashed yet so why were they looking into his identity? Who would "snitch" on him?

Doesn't seem likely based on what's happened to him so far. Guess that's why he doesn't comprehend.

Trying to figure out what relevance your 600 chip scenario has on anything, and am drawing a blank.

I imagine he's just pointing out that the dude was punted out with a pretty decent amount of equity in the tournament, with a 600K stack, definitely a favorite to go further than a min-cash at least.
