it plays like hold em and people would like watching it on tv.. PLO is too difficult for scrubs. for you that played a lot of pineapple, is it a difficult as PLO or NLHE 6 max.. it does look complex. i could never find a running game on ub, but it was hidden pretty much.

Poker boom? People have figured out poker is fun for a laugh, but it's not a great way to become a contributing member of society, and the money's not great either.

is this really bull**** to think.. i bet the removing a card aspect would go over well.. maybe not.. but i hate seeing poker dead. it probably could never come back to life unless americans and rows are brought back together.

there will never be another boom. The skill gap between expert and novice is too large now, and the technology for the expert to quickly remove the money from the fish are to sophisticated and fast. The general population is now also too aware of that difference, so random donk doesn't think poker is like a james bond movie and that if hes a big enough mans man that he can outclass his opponents. Its moved more into the real of chess, where people realize its a skill game and that they arent any good at it. Will still always be money to be made, because of the luck factor mixed with ego. But there will never be another boom.

Good summary, and add that online games other than poker have far greater boom potential when competing for customer attention..

I'd say 'legal online poker in the USA nationwide with advertising allowed' would be #2 but this is the only other correct answer

Also all forms of pineapple are just objectively terrible poker games that's why they're not popular and it's also why badugi isn't popular because it's just not a good game the way stuff like PLO and mixed games that aren't LHE are.
