The effects of sleep deprivation on Randy Gardner included moodiness, problems with concentration and memory, paranoia and hallucinations. After four days, he had the delusion that he was a famous American football player winning the Rose Bowl. He also mistook a street sign for a person.

On the 11th day, he was asked to subtract seven repeatedly, starting from 100. He stopped when he got to 65... and said he had forgotten what he was doing.
I believe this. I once sat at the same Blackjack table at a casino in Mississippi for 36 hours, having been up for who knows how long when I started the session. About 24 hours in, having been awake for somewhere between 36 and 40 hours, I got up to go to the bathroom. I came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, and I had no idea why I was in the casino or what I had been doing there.

I wandered around the place for at least 15 minutes. Finally, the pit boss from the pit where I had been playing saw me and pulled me back to the table, where I had left over $1.5k in chips just sitting in a messy pile. That was a lot of money for me back then, and I couldn't even remember how I had come into possession of it.

The solution for whales and dolphins is to let one half of the brain sleep at a time. In this way, the animal is never completely unconscious, but it still gets the rest it needs.

so ****ing cool

The above book was written by the one-time record holder, Larry Olmsted, and covers his experience (along with the history of the Guinness Book of Records). He played 1-5 stud at Foxwoods for 72 hours straight, with 15 minute breaks every eight hours. He was fairly delirious for the last 12 hours of the 72 and mostly auto-folded, but still finished up $900 for the session.

I did 3 days once I think, maybe it was 2.5, I basically started hallucinating, seeing people everywhere and it was very difficult to do much, I was laughing a lot and telling people jokes (real people), I don't think they made much sense but I was generally having a good time.

Then I sat down and it's the last thing I remember

realistically wouldn't it be better to take the drugs early on so the come-down happens earlier instead of later? if he starts really high, then ~24 hours in he hits the low point from the drugs, then starts to recover from the low point while simultaneously losing focus from lack of sleep? i dont know if the chemistry works but it makes more sense logically

Desperate cry for attention.

Antonio is more suited to this challenge, IMO. He could play in his pajamas, and he wouldn't look much different than he normally does.

I'm more interested in what his BR is and whether he is counting on Tilly to stake him if he gets sleepy and goes busto.

A glowing testament to how soft most 1-5 stud games are

The video of the former WR holder is bull**** IMO.... They guy wasn't playing poker, it was heads up and there was nothing normal about the game at all.

He should have to play a cash game for 72hours without rebuys and without players donking hands to him.... That'd be ****ing hard.

Same here, I did 50. Took me 3 hours to fall asleep after I went to bed and I kept waking up all the time.
What is the statistic on how long can a human body go w/o sleep?

There are definitely 100% at least 2 people who have done over 78 hours straight in $100/200 LHE games at Commerce, of which I'm sure the high stakes limit floor could verify that. I suppose most "world records" work that way though and it's simply a matter of what actually gets reported...

I'm confused. Didn't all those who final tabled most SCOOP events this year already break this record?
