This thing will be like doing so many pushups, The first 75% is easy, then at the end every hour will be torture, but if anyone can do it, Phil Can, he is crazy like that.

Good investment for Phil Laak; 80 hours playing poker for whatever media exposure/future tv time.

I wonder if he'll still be playing 10/20 at the end of this challenge.

I understand he is missing out on bracelet opportunities but no one chastises pros that take days off at the WSOP and says they are missing opportunities. No one will remember Joe Schmo that won the $1k buy-in bracelet but they'll remember Phil Laak setting the record. That right there is the whole point.
are.you.****ing.stupid?

the WSOP is on now

Sorry guys and sorry The Dynamite Kid, I'm drunk, that's all I have to say to my defence. I retract my moronic previous statement. Peace.

Livestream is pretty nice but he should have a personal camera so we can see the action from his view!

If he does this it's pretty amazing.

Why he's doing it is obvious but still... I couldn't do it.

How would any attempt at breaking any world record NOT be a publicity stunt?

Who hasn't wanted to have a world record? THere is certainly an aspect of publicity in it, that much is obvious. There's nothing wrong with that though.

By the way Phil has been working to accomplish this for a long time according to him and been training for it since Jan 1. I hope he makes it, but it certainly won't look good at the end. I saw the vid of that other guy and I was actually grossed out, it can't be good to stay awake until you don't even have the coordination to peek at your hole card.s

What, he gets to take showers and do YOGA? Please tell me this is not true, unless its less than 30 min break, and only gets 3 of these breaks in the time it takes to break the record.

I believe he gets 5 mins per hour, but if he doesn't use it it carries over and so on.

According to his Twitter it took him 19 min for shower, new clothes, and yoga.

LOL 3 min to get to his room, and back, so shower and yoga in 13 min, pretty good

The 5min break per hour is standard Guinness Book rules for endurance records.

He is trying to set a Guinness Book record.

Nothing to get excited about.

according to his twitter, he is up $600. for someone who is playing on HSP that doesn't seem that much for 29 hours of playing WSOP tourist fish.

^^ Phil Laak plays up to 200-400 regularly so he's only up like 1.5bb of his reg stakes lol.

Why is Phil wearing glasses? Don't you think that it will make him more tired since he doesn't see any light? Or maybe it makes his eyes not strain. I don't know, doesn't seem like that good of an idea.

If this is true that he gets 5min per hour. wouldnt it be better if he took saved up like his breaks until about halfway and took a quick nap?
