It is not your money he is playing with.

Lol daily fail lives up to its name once again.

Very likely that the amounts involved and the details have been grossly distorted by this stain on british journalism that has the audacity to call its self a 'newspaper'.

This is a ridiculous statement. All of the owners were in on the decision to make dividend payments and they all pressured the board to do them and increase them over time.

But regardless of that, it's similar to saying hey my buddies robbed this old lady the other day and gave me a bunch of her money. I didn't rob her myself though so it's ok for me to keep it.

I don't think you understand gambling sickness. It isn't moronic tendencies that influence choices but gambling addiction. Pre boom poker pros are literally degenerates, some of whom are very skilled at poker. Some not as much and they are broke now. Without sponsorship Ivey will very likely be broke at some point as well because he will not stop gambling big. Add in the divorce and you have a precarious situation regardless of his bankroll.

It is tempting to think that he would rationally quit playing table games if his roll gets too short but he didn't even get to where he is by being rational. For every Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu there are 50 guys just as talented who risked their whole bankroll one too many times who you never heard of.

I'm no Ivey fanboy, but this is a joke. I don't understand how they expect other high rollers to go there if they don't even pay people there winnings. Ivey is a degenerate gambler, scumbag, and a theif. But a cheat is not something I would charachterize him as.

You gotta think that if that 10 mill is worth their reputation they must be pretty broke.

Independently confirmed that this is true. This makes Hellmuths WSOPE win look like childs play. Pretty sure oriental woman was Chinese spy, dude behind Ivey in pic was obv Mi5. In before international Ivey Inception conspiracy exposed.

Hellmuth wins WSOPE, Ivey wins more at skill-less game
10-07-2012 , 12:27 PM
Is 40ish bets an unprecedented amount to win in 2 sessions at Punto banco?

If you were playing £100 Punto banco and won £4000 would it be questioned?

Genuine questions BTW

Baccarat info :

1. Is baccarat ( punto banco ) a - EV game ? Yes - Casino has about a 1.1 % edge

2. Do nearly everyone lose at baccarat ? Yes.

3. Do most people who lose at baccarat are undisciplined gamblers who have no self control in a casino ? Yes

4. Can anyone beat a -EV game? Yes. Billy Walters has won millions betting sports which is about a 5 % -EV which is almost 5 times worse than baccarat.

5. Is winning at baccarat or sports betting easy ? Absolutely not.

6. Can you win a -EV game if the standard deviation inevitably favors your betting pattern and you have the discipline to quit ( sort of a hit and run situation ) which Ivey uses . Yes

I play baccarat and have seen it happen many times. Do you always win ? No. Can you control when you quit the shoe and vary your bet size ? Yes Is this easy to do ? No.

Article says the game offers marginally better odds than roulette, so I think this game is basicly flipping a coin where the house has marginally better odds. I don't think what happened is special at all from a casino point of view, just the amount of money is.

If so, that's pathetic, and if not you're a moron as he clearly isn't 'mad', he didn't even swear or insult you in his post.
